yea its def. a good quad and welllllllllll worth the money. I just fell into some financial troubles and need the cash bad. Financed a 450 to have both bikes but i need to make a 2800 loan payment. hence the cheap price. Honestly if i would of bought the motor myself i would be asking 4k for it. Thank god my friend payed me for it. -

forgot to mention.....bike is located in florida but im willing to meet up with a couple hour drive -
Looking to get a 450 so i have to sell the shee. Here is a story about it. 2850 firm takes it home! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...177375&rd=1 thats a link to the pics i have Vehicle Description I have for sale my 2003 Yamaha banshee. It has been carefully maintained and garaged its entire life. I have always changed the tranny fluid with belray and used yamalube and 93 octane in the tank. I had a miss hab over summer where a friend didnt know about 4 wheelers and while he filled up his bike and just put str8 gas in my tank. Well we all know that blew the motor. Anyhow he was a good friend and bought me a brand new 2006 oem motor. I had it professionally installed and put some of my preformance mods on while it was there. The coolhead and lockup where parts that where on my old motor that the shop put on this one. Everything else carbs etc is all oem brand new! I also had a friend buy a brand new 05 SE off the floor. I didnt like all the silver on my bike and he didnt like all the black. So we swapped a arms and swing arms with eachother. I wanted the bike to have a black and silver theme to it. The other theme to the bike as you can see is iron cross or west cost chopper cross whatever you want to call it. I wanted something a little different. On to the mods MODS Has a pro flow intake with foam filter in stock box (can go through dirt mud etc and no loss in performance Bike has a new set of fmf sst gold series pipes. These are very similar to t-5's in performance but much better response in all rpms in my opinion and better fit and quality. Also has an aluminium cool head which is safe with 93 octane at sea level. Bike also has a lock up clutch and cover because i originally was going to port the motor and stuff but just wanted to leave it bolt on. I also had the guy do a special mod to the clutch rod and ball so they wont weld together. Banshees are notorious for this stock or hooked up. This was 500 to do alone but worth every penny. It happened to me twice on my old motor. It also has brand new 99% tread left razr tires on douglas wheels. (500 bucks) Great combo for dirt or trail riding. Bling star front bumper Renthal handlebars and matching scott grips Iron cross bar holder Custom iron cross graphics kit Iron cross radiator billet insert Iron cross shock covers

i understand no prob. trust me in retro spect i would of def. of got the direct drive seeing that theirs is a diecast piece. I mean the cover i have now from modquad only has but 10-15 hours on it. Its a decent piece just wish it was diecast. But that not that big a deal i honestly just dont need a lock up and could use the 100 dollars toward some new tires that are just spinning when i trail ride. -

no actually other members informed me that there is a bead of silicon inside. I took it apart and sure enough the silicon came off. I was informed instead of putting a bead of silicon to put jb weld and i wont have any probs so thats what i did. However instead of putting it back on bike i really dont want it. All i have is pipes a cool head, reeds, a filter, and +4 timming and there is really no need for a lockup. I had planed on stroking it and everything but now plans have changed and im going to leave the bike as is. So the cover is no longer leaking to my knowing. Im going to do a leak test as soon as the jb weld sets completely -

i pmed all of you i think and im looking for your cover and stock bolts and 100 bucks cash and we each pay our own shipping. -
that sounds like a good idea i think i might just go ahead and do that and see if it works.
-
Like the title says. I want to trade my lock up cover that is polished with smoked lexan insert for your stock cover and bolts and some cash.
-
Yea only problem is i kinda dont feel like buying a new cover for 300+ bucks so i was trying to see a cheaper solution. Like i said i honestly dont mind just taking the lock up off i just dont know what would be required to do so. Like do i have to buy new screws or what?
-
I have a modquad clutch cover and lock up on my shee. Its always had a small drip like a drop or 2 every day siting which wasnt a big deal. But riding the other day it started dripping really bad not where the clear cover or the screws are for quick access but where they welded the extension ring onto the case. What should i do. I guess i could take it off and take it to a welder and re weld it maybe. Or is there anyay i could get a modified oem case? anyone sell one? I really dont care for the clear case considering i mostly trail ride and my friends already cracked once from debris. What do you guys suggest. How hard is it to just remove the lock up and go back to stock? What parts would i need to do so considering i really dont even need a lock up.

any suggestions?

After market filter, sea level, not ported and mostly trails.
-
I switched from cpi's to fmf sst's i wanted a better trail pipe. I also ride in dirt and muddy trails so i switched to a box with no lid and a proflo intake setup with just one big filter instead of the two k and n's that were on each carb. Im not sure what my jetting is now but the bike did run good. The fmf pipes i got came with 260 mains. Should i put these in or just run it how it was when i got it and do a plug chop before i change anything.
-
well i ended up selling the cpi's and going to fmf sst's i heard that they were a good low end pipe and awsome for trails so ill see how that works. As far as the box ill see how it works out after a plug chop.
