  1. I should have said.................. I have an ulterior motive. We built a trail ported Blaster for the kid and we are running an OKO 28mm carb. I have to double check, but I don't think the OKO needles are stamped. On the 4th and 3rd clips, this thing was just falling on it's face coming into throttle. 2nd clip was better and the first clip is far and away the best. As of our last change, we are at 48 pilot, 1st clip on the needle, and a 172 main. The 172 is a hair fat but I didn't have a 170 in the box. And it's close, but not just right. I am trying to see if I can find someone with a PWK needle they can part ways with. The Blaster forum is really about 90% kids and they really just don't tune their stuff to the extent that OCD adults do. And those that do really dial them in use the 35mm air striker. So I figured with all the PWK's on Banshee's, I may have better luck over here. And I am thinking even if the PWK 28mm needle is not right, the stamping will give me a direction to go in. The 48 pilot still seems a bit rich, so I will try a 45 or even a 42. Maybe that will let me put the needle back up to the 2nd clip. I am just really thinking the OKO stock needle is not optimal and I am trying to see if anyone has a PWK 28mm needle they can part ways with. I also have a thread up in the wanted section.
  2. I was just curious............... Like the title says, are you all happy with the stock PWK needle, or did you swap them out for a different needle to tailor the jetting to your specific build?
  3. I am looking for the stock Keihin PWK needle stamped "JJH". That would be my first choice. 2nd choice would be pretty much anything from "JJJ" to JJN" Let me know if anyone has one they can part with! Thanks!
  4. Nice little carb. Very clean and like new. Used for a short time. $75.00 shipped to the upper 48.
  5. That sounds like what I was thinking. I was thinking 300-310. 320+ just sounded like too much. I'll try it out. Thanks for the tip.
  6. I am looking for some jetting advice on the Alien system. Bike is an '06 Stock head I think it has stock reeds. Stock carbs. Pro-flow adapter w/K&N filter & outerwear No lid. Has the 6 clip needle. Running in Glamis. The problem I have is this- The jetting instructions say 30 pilot and 280 mains........with the lid ON. They recommend 320 mains with the lid off. That sounds a bit fat. Do I really need 320's? It has 280 mains now and it felt lean. Raised the needle 1 clip and put 2 strips of duct tape over the box to get it smoother. What do you guys think?
