I'm hopefully going to be ordering an override soon, and i;m gonna hit up brian for some 4" scooter tires. I know you need your back. I hate borring shit. that or we need to hit up the river now that i got some good paddles.

  2. I know most of you wear headphones or have speakers in your helmet. But, once again i got bored.... I found room and added a amplified speaker system to my helmet. yes its overboard, obnoxious, unnecessary, not safe, ect ect.....but its loud! I wont be riding with it all the way up but it is nice to know i don't have to worry about wind noise anymore. Its powered by 3 AAA batteries and everything is small enough to fit in the nose without being too close. The vid's sound sucks. it actually sounds alot clearer, and you can easily hear it from 10' away from the helmet.

Man i gotta stop getting bored.

  3. I have yet had the oportunity to deal with motor city atv, but i have inquired about parts a few time. I have always gotten quick and professional responses.

However If anyone has a problem with ANYONE. I feel that the issues should not be brought up publicly until the issues has been completed. good or bad the buyer or seller need to contact the other and try to resolve the issue. then it can be made public. I wouldn't want to get bashed about something i could have fixed. buyers/sellers reputaion is hard to gain but easy to loose.

  4. That circlip and washer could be from in front of that gear. Mine moves some, but not that much. you need to pull your clutch and basket.

remove the bolts and springs at the front of the clutch. then pull the clutch hub and clutch steels/fibers out. then you will need a 32mm socket and a impact. bend down the tabs around the big nut in the middle. have a buddy rap a towel around the clutch basket and hold it while you impact the nut off. It shouldn't take much. no just slide the clutch basket off. take some pictures of your shift star and of the whole side. that may help.

I wouldnt think that gear would cause it to not shift. its just for starting the banshee. But if that washer and circlip got caught in with you shift shaft it could have locked things up.

Look through here and download a manual

  5. I;m going to open the can of worms. Kehins can be made to go between gas and alky. But not many builder can do it right. 99.999% of the time Kehins cannot be converted back to gas once they have been converted to alky. as stated before, Makuni's and lectrons can go between gas and alky with little changes. If you want to go back to gas there are plenty of people on here that would be willing to swap you carbs.

Alky is not hard once you know what you are doing. If you don't know how to tune properly stick to gas IMO. If alky is not tuned properly you will be blowing motors left and right.

The choice between gas and alky mainly depends on what type of riding you do and your experience with tuning and setup. If you want to run alky I suggest ou start reading and asking questions. The is a shit ton of info on here and a few other wecites (atvdragracers.com , "planetshithole.com" , atvdraggers.com). Read everything you can before you jusy dive in.
