To The Top $175 shipped
-
I only have 1 good piston to fit them. I will mod my own head and stator plate, so I don't need those. I really need a tranny to get this thing moving. A couple of my gears are pitted pretty bad. I searched around, and I thought $200 was about the right price. I've had a couple lowball offers, but Ebay will bring $200 + shipping any day.

Anyone want to make a trade? I need a, tranny - impeller - TORS delete - rear brake disc - other performance parts?? I'd rather not take these to Ebay
-
I have no idea if that mod requires different port timing or not. The ports on these look to still be at stock timing. The bore diameter would be correct for 66mm pistons.

They're from a banshee

I still have have these. FYI, the cylinder walls are not damaged. They do not need to be bored. The pics knda make it look like they are scratched, but they are not.

Hey Guys It took me a little longer than I thought. I was out fishin  Here are some pics of the porting. they got kinda crappy when I resized. Let me know if anyone needs better pics.
-
These came on the bike I bought. I don't know who did the porting, but it looks fairly minor. I'll get some decent pics up tonight. The bike ran strong. I'll send them out with a fresh hone. Also have a good used wiseco piston, rings, and bearings to throw in. I'll say $200 OBO

Hey Guys I've got this thing sitting in the shop. A friend left it with me a couple years ago. He replaced it almost immediately to race motoX How much is shipping on these usually?
-
Done Thanks

I looked closer at the tranny. All the gears are shot. Nunya said his gears don't look any better. So Woodward- are your gears in beautiful shape? I would imagine they should either look new or wrecked. Here is a pic of some of the questionable gears in mine.
-
Thanks guys, I have a crank coming already. Nunya told me has might have the gears I need. I'll shoot you an offer on the tranny if he doesn't have what I need. Impeller is cracked too. I'm searchin for one. I might just get a billet one, do they really keep the bike that much cooler?

The shaft with the sprocket for the chain looks OK. But the other one has 2 gears in the middle that look badly pitted. If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it. I would prefer to just get the set thats wrecked, but both shafts for a decent price could work. Thanks

TTT for some nice carbs. I've run them on sleds for years. They kick the $hit out of any round slide and most flat slides as well. + if you're a freak like me, you'll apreciate that they are magnesium and super light.

Hey guys, Glad to see experienced guys helping out when others have questions. I can tell that YOU know what you mean to say. I just want to make sure that a rookie doesn't get the wrong idea from reading threads like this. It looks like a couple guys are missing a decimal point in there posts. .50" over is a half inch, I believe what you are trying to say is that you can take a jug to .050" over or "fifty over" That is generally understood as fifty thousandths of an inch. Same goes for .20 over comments. Some manufacturers use metric numbers for overbores too. .5mm over and 1mm over are common sizes. Some sell pistons in .25mm increments. 1mm is about .040" Just want to help clear it up for guys new to rebuilds.

Broken bolt now with extractor snapped in it
Moddoo replied to fox_forma's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I offered my advice because I have done it before and it works well. A carbide tipped concrete bit costs less than $5 and can easily be shapened on a standard grinding wheel in under a minute without doing damage to the wheel. -

If you can get a carbide drill bit (hard to find) , that will work. Another trick is to get a carbide tipped concrete bit (easy to find) and sharpen it on a grinder. That will work well also. The trick is to start it centered and keep it centered. -
Thanks Canadarider for a nice deal on the parts I need. Also, to the others who offered parts, Thank you. Cool guys on this site. I can't wait to get it going.

Hello guys This is my first banshee. I rode it several times, about a year ago. It worked well then. Since then, it was sold from one friend to another, siezed, run again, and broke a rod. I just got it for a good price. I've located a crank and pistons. It is a 1997 bike and in decent shape. I am wondering if there are common part failures in the lower end/tranny that I should look out for. Any clutch plate specs I can check? I have a lot of experience with snowmobiles and dirt bikes, but this is my first banshee. Thanks for any input.

Hello all, I just got this thing and hope to get it going. I already have too many projects going, so I need some cheap parts to get this thing running. I do not want a crank that needs bearings, etc. Just something used that works. I am sure that I'll mod it later. Just hope to make it through the summer. Please help me git er runnin. Thanks
