  1. Thank you. work has been hectic, I'll be changing the jetting tonight for weekend riding.
  2. dune tire is a 12 paddle extreme, I think its 22" tall. gearing is currently high. I think i'll drop it down to 14/44 gearing for the sand. I rode last night and I thought I was in the top of 6th gear, but was actually top of 5th. (running a 22" tall tire). Just to see where the gearing should be. I had to be going 90mph+ in 5th gear. At least that is what it felt like.
  3. I've done a lot of research and pease tell me if I am close. It's a 421 cub, no additional porting, CPI in frames, 15/44 gearing with 19" tire. Lockout clutch CEL Needle, middle clip air screw 2.5 turns out Pilot - 50-55 Main 155-158 I'm in Michigan and ride primary at silve lake dunes - on the coast of lake michigan. am i close with jetting?
  4. Hey guys I searched around a little before posting this. This is what I have: 4mill stroker Cub Cylinder with no porting (only stock porting as this is a "trail" bike) (literally straight off the shelf) 35 PWK Airstrikers with power jet installed (Running on Race Gasoline (turbo blue)) K&N POD Filters CPI Inframes lockout clutch (don't think that matters). I'm in Michigan so the elevation is 700' above sea level. 80% of the time will be trail riding and going through the gears, so the low/mid range of the jetting is very important. I'd even sacrifice power for a safety cushion. I go to the silver dunes a couple times during the summer, where it will be WIDE OPEN THROTTLE racing. Can anyone give me something to start with???? This is what i started with: DG? needle in middle (wouldn't idle), Would only idle with both chokes on. raised it one notch and it idled. the main jet is 150 ish... One higher than a 145 whatever that is. the pilot is a 45 I believe. With this setup it would idle (unless chokes were on) and there was no low range at revving. Thank you for your input. I really appreciate this.
  5. Do you have a title for the frame? VIN readable? If so, I'm interested. Live in Brighton. shoot me an Email wikdsvt at gmail dotcom
  6. Make your own using stock rims! I've had it this way for years, ZERO PROBLEMS 1. Go to the local auto store and buy 4 valve stems (preferrably the short ones) 2. take your front stock rims, flip them around and drill a hole (size of hole will be on the valve stem container) in your rim on the OPPOSITE side of the stock valve stem. I try to line is up on the opposite side so it helps with balancing. Smooth any burrs (important) from the hole. 3. Take the valve stock valve stem and insert it in to the rim, so the long part with the schrader valve is INSIDE the rim. Basically install the valve stem backwards and pull it in to the rim to seat it. 4. With your new hole, install a new valve stem 5. put your tire back on (sometimes challenging) and fill up your tire with air, look for leaks. 6. Install on banshee (the part that used to face outwards now faces inside. There, you just made offset rims and it cost you $5.00 in valve stems from the auto parts store. I currently have two banshee's with this setup and 3 other friends I ride with have this exact setup.
