  2. 32:1 for life.....lol
  3. I'm sorry but you're wrong about a TRX250R Honda having a lower stock compression, you need to recheck your facts. I bought mine back in 1988 brand new, over the years i've raced and rode it and worked on it from head to toe. A stock 1988 TRX250R Honda has around 165 to 170 psi cylinder compression straight from the factory. At one time when I had a fresh topend on it I shaved the head .010 or .015 and used the CR250 Honda dirt bike metal head gasket witch was .015 or .020 thinner than the stock paper and metal gasket that was twice as thick or more, can't remember thet exact amount been soo long, so it came out to somewhere around .030 or .035 shaving and the thinner gasket together from the head clearance on my TRX250R and with that combo after a good break in period it had 190 to 195 psi compession, and I used a new snap-on cylinder compression tester at my dads machine shop. After a season or so it dropped back to 170 to 175 psi then I sold it and got my brand new 50th ann. edition Banshee 2006. Last year and it was the last new one in stock in my state so I got lucky. I miss my 250R but I love my new Banshee too. I just have gotten it broken in good cause I haven't had time to ride it, and just put a new set of nickel plated DG head pipes and silencers and it sounds and looks great. I was really surprized how much those pipes woke up that stock banshee after tweaking the jets a little. But there will be more mods to come. Sorry so long of a post...l8t3r guys.
  4. I was running 175 to 180 psi on my 88" 250R on 93 octane, so why can't you run the banshee's at that, am I missing something cause I never had any dt's, sometimes i'd run racing fuel 50/50. Maybe ya'll know something I don't, 165 psi should be fine, but thats on a 250 R Honda?
  5. Looks like a good cold seizure may have done it..... you have to let these liquid cooled 2 strokes warm up, to at least warm to the touch of the had on the cylinders. On the air cooled older ones you could just jump on those and haul ass, unless its very very cold, like single didgits. As was said though anything could have caused it.
  6. Nice, ok the 275+ shipping includes what exactly from the pics??? Reason I ask is cause I see 2 sets of silencers??? Thanks, DBAR
  7. Hey I hardly ever ride in the winter, so that havoline runs and lubes ok and its easy to get and not very expensive, I use very little cause as I said I ride mainly in the warm weather, so then i'll run my good old Maxima Caster 927, its good shit, i've ran it for years, even back when I had my 88' TRX 250R. But that new havoline oil runs great burns clean without any deposits, so I think its ok for just some light trail riding in the cold and save a little money and its not that old kind that was stricktly for marine use and it wasn't blue like this, but i'd give it a try you know just for some light trail riding. Racing or hardcore nothing like that good smelling castor 927,,, mmmmmm,,,mmmm. That with some race gas and its like cotton candy,,, lol
  8. This is a newer version man, it say its for motorcycles liquid cooled or air and marine use also, you are talking about the older stuff, this is colored bright blue also, I have the pdf doc if you want read it.?
  9. In the summer time I run Maxima Castor 927 32:1, In the winter i've been trying some different premix oils, the reason I do this is because of the risk of the of the gas/oil separation with the Castor 927 in the cold temps. So i've be trying some of this....." Havoline Two-Cycle Engine Oil TC-W3 " and it runs great at 32:1 mix. Also says that it now delivers excellent performance in water-cooled and air-cooled applications. Also it allows good mixing with gasoline at very low temperatures and it is dyed teal blue for easy identification of fuel-oil mixtures in pre-mixed applications. For hard riding and or racing I still will use my trusty old Maxima Castor 927..... So i'd like to hear any coments anyone may have conserning the " Havoline Two-Cycle Engine Oil TC-W3 " ? Thanks, DBAR
  10. Seams like all you see now is those damn farting 4strokes..... or fart sounding 4strokes,, lol
