  2. Great communication, easy to deal with, and extremely fast shipping!
  3. I was just curious to know if I could use a twist throttle and still keep the tors on even though they are disconnected? Im just looking for the easiest way to put a twist on my shee. Im also trying to keep the cost down and avoid drilling my carbs for the idler kit. Thanks in advance for the input.
  4. Looking to trade my thumb throttle and newer cable for your twist throttle and cable. Let me know what you got. I feel my carpal tunnel coming back.
  5. Payment sent. Let me know if when payment cleared and you have shipped. Thanks.
  6. I definately say get another set of hands. Try starting from the back, it was easier for me. Done in less than an hour. Good luck
  7. Banshees have been sold for almost 20 years and Im curious to know if there are any banshee specific magazines? Any of the new mags out now seem to show only quads like the outlaw, 450r's, yfz 450, 400ex etc... Maybe I havent searched enough, but for a quad being out for so long and having such a big aftermarket and fan following I cant understand why someone has not put one out. Thered be so much media for banshees everything from duneing, drag racing, trails, mx, and baja, Aftermarket installs and comparisons, race coverage, show bikes and the list goes on. Maybe I just found the next million dollar idea?
  8. Just recently I found that my silencers are broke at the connection between the pipe and silencer, they also have leaks where they attach to the muffler, and the bolt holes are stripped where they mount to the frame. So Ive been looking for a set of silencers and found one on a local auction site and was curious to know if they would fit. I have paul turner highs and the silencers I found are shearer, hopefully one of you more knowledgeable people can tell me if they would fit? As of now Im using my stock silencers. Thanks in advance.
  9. Do you happen to have any pics? Very Interested.
  10. I know both of these throttles have been talked about seperately but I have not been able to find any opions on which is better. So basicaly Im curious to know which would benefit me more as I have recently had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands and my hands tire rather quickly? My cables seem fine compared to other stock shees thumb throttle. Im running stock carbs of which have less the 10hrs of ride time, so Im fairly confident the slides are not all gummed up. I dont think theres anything abnormaly wrong with my throttle setup to make it stiff its just my hands are not up to full stength. The doc says it takes over a year to fully recover so in the mean time Im looking for a little remedy. Hopefully some of you guys that have experienced both throttles could chime in would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  12. Not to be rude, but if you cant even spell ACETONE I dont think you should use it. Especially if you give us a link that I assume you have read and has the correct spelling .
  13. Well I guess I can change the title on this thread as I can now say Im a proud new owner of a Banshee. I went to this guys house and got a taste of why the rest of you own a banshee, This thing frigging rips, kinda of scared me as I was test riding I pinned 3rd gear and it was instaneous acceleration and my ass slide almost off the end of the seat. everything else checked out great. Ill be picking the shee up this weekend along with some stock parts ie: air box, heel guards, and some paddles that he threw in with the deal. Unfortunately he wouldnt come down in price but Im happy with my purchase. Thanks again to those who left some input as I appreciate the help. See ya in the dunes.
  14. Heres some more
  15. Yeah dont tell me I have already seen ads from that side of the country and cant understand why such a price difference. I understand what you mean but it was explained to me that he already had a built stroker motor to put in his 03 banshee and so he bought a titled 97 banshee to put his almost stock 03 motor in. I plan on looking at it sometime this week, if all is good Ill problably buy it, if not oh well Im not in a real big hurry to buy one I would just hate to miss a good deal. Heres some pics
  16. Thats good to hear! Is there anything I should look out for when looking at it, besides the norm? Basically any banshee specific problems I should watch for?
  17. Well as you can see from my post count Im a newbie and fairly new to banshees, but Ive been lurking on this forum for a while and have found a lot of usefull info. Since Im now in the market to purchase a banshee I put a few feelers wtb ads and have gotten a few responses. I was hoping to get some advice from some of you more expericed owners and riders. I am on a limited but somewhat loose budget as Im looking for an auto or semi auto quad for the wife, while also trying to get the inside of my addition repaired as well as the roof. I live in Washington and we're still recovering from a recent wind storm that had gust to 90mph and sustained winds of 50-60 mph. So heres what Ive been offered : 97 banshee w/03 motor 5hrs on motor {new not rebuilt} Paul Turner pipes K&N pro flo filter stock carbs which are new also bar risers & fat bars Everything else is tight & in great shape {supposedly} I have set a budget of about $3000 for a banshee and I thought about offering $2500 What do you guys/gals thinK? I appreciate all input thanks in advance Bobby.
