Hey there. i have a quick question for you guys. I recently sheered off a flywheel key on my banshee and then my coil was fried. well i put a new coil on it and it ran like a champ. I warmed her up and took it down the road and back and all was fine. then i fired it up later and took it for a ride and then i went to down shift and it shifts really hard and i get to neutral really easy and it takes forever to get into first. its like the shifter is locked. Any suggestions? i have a new clutch and oil level is good. Also on my left side of my exaust where it goes into the silencer it has dark burnt oil spots on the pipe! could i be mixed too rich? thanks alot!

I have a manuel and i tested everything. My resistance is alright going all the way to the coil. Then at the coil i either cots an open circtuit or .003. So i ordered a coil. If that doesnt do it i guess ill get a stator. and if that doesnt do it then i dont know!

Well i checked everything and i cleaned the plugs again and i got the right side started with no problem and then nothing on the left. Well after awhile the left will pop really loud out the exhaust and run and then nothing. i pulled out the plugs and i got a big blue spark out of the right and nothing out of the left. so i put a new plug in the left and i got a small blue spark but not very big. I then checked my voltage to the coil and i have something like 133 when i kick it over. So would i possibly have a bad coil? Why would it go out all of a sudden when i spun the key? I looked at it a bit more today since its light outside and when i looked close i found oil on the right side of the pipe where it goes into the silencer. And i pulled out both plugs and they were wet with black oil on them. I changed the plugs and i choked it and it fired right up, both sides and ran fine and i turned off the choke and after it ran for a second the left side fouled out again. Could i be runing too rich? i didnt change a thing at all except that timing key. I have b-cool head with 20cc domes and my carb is a 35mm trinity carb and i have a 50pilot jet and i think its a 170 or a 175 main. any ideas??

I checked everything out the best I could and everything seems fine. I checked and i have a good big blue spark from each cylinder. I adjusted my pickeup thinking it maybe got hit when the flywheel spun. But i havent done a compression test but when i put my finger over the spark plug hole it builds up pretty good pressure. Like I said the top end is brand new and is barely broken in. The only thing i didnt replace was the crank but i figured it would be ok. But what i dont understand is one minute itll run great and then its like either the right or the left will just foul out. Then i pulled out one plug and i had smoke coming out of it. And the plug is totally clean but has a bit of oil on it. ?????? im lost. as for the timing key. i learned my lesson. wont ever happen again! . i am going to put an adjustable stator on it for my next mod if i ever get her up and running again.

alright well i was riding my banshee one day just normal and it was running great and had no problems and then i let off the throttle adn it fealt like it fouled out and then i heard a high pitched noise and a backfire and she was done. I looked into it and i had sheered off a flywheel key. it was a +4 degree vito's timing key so i replaced it with a stock one. Still wouldnt start. It was like one cylinder was totally dead. so i replaced the reeds thinking the backfire blew them out. they didnt look bad but one had a chip in the cage. so i put v-force 3's in it and it fired right up and ran and then again fealt like one cylinder fouled out so when i give it gas it would come back on and then die out and then i got a big pop and a flame out the silencer. any ideas? I had just gone through the bottum end with bearings and seals, had the top end ported and bored adn put wiseco pro-lite pistons in it about 6 months ago. i have a trinity 2 into 1 carb setup and manifold. also have trinity t-6 pipes. Anyone have any ideas?
