  1. Filters are off and the slides appear to be at the same height throughout there movement,no tors connected on bike, thanks for the reply..will keep tinkering till we figure it out
  2. Not sure on actual elevation, but i'm in Wildomar CA. Riverside county...Well in my non-stop tinkering heres another thing that confused me...Having swithed the carbs to the opposing sides and narrowing it down to the one carb due to the problem switching cylinders.I started the bike and placed my hand over the good side carb, creating a seal over the inlet side. The opposite cylinder comes to life like there was nothing wrong at all.Remove my hand and back to a dead cylinder...Next thing was to place bike in gear(tires removed and strapped in place) revved her up a little and applied a little rear break...Both cylinders came to life.. got all happy at that point thinking that carb had passed whatever i missed after the ten cleanings...however after letting her back to idle shee went right back to the dead cylinder ....confused as ever now as to why will shee run under load but wont idle on both cylinders...
  3. Not sure what domes i have, but yes have pulled the jets and cleaned them throughly,i'll get the book tomorrow gotta work tonight..Still confused about my compression though.. i believe you guys saying its low but this bike starts one or two kicks at glamis last two seasons and runs in hot cold and rain..thanks for the reply
  4. Hey gang, A rookie here so please be kind if i sound like a dumbass.03 banshee with cool head,t-5's, keihin carbs,k/n filter no airbox. and a boost bottle, these are the only mods i know of as i bought the bike used and until now it has ran flawless. I am running on one cylinder as we speak.I have changed and gapped plugs, had the coil pack tested, swapped out the cdi box from a friends shee and mine is good.Pulled both carbs and cleaned the daylights out of them.I did a compression test on both cylinders and they are 95 psi in both(according to my local yamaha dealer it should not run so i held the phone down to the pipe and he said i dont know what to tell you and hung up) MY friend with the other shee says its carb so we switched carbs around and sure enough now it runs on the opposite cylinder....At this point i have pulled this carb apart 10 times cleaned and re-cleaned and still the same result..My question is can a jet go bad? The bowl is always full when i pull it apart and there is fuel blowing out the dead cylinder when its running on the other.Getting frustrated ....any help is appreciated...Jim
