  1. i was in the video section of the forum today and saw that aot of shees smoke. i thought it was just mine. is that normal? mine dont smoke that bad for real........
  2. i dont think that will work. you have to have something that will support that boot. i think i'm going to cut mine out and see how that works. i will keep you posted

  4. i just the quotes from the amsoil question and one of the guys said he runs atf in his shee. is that correct? i was told to run 10 w 30 in mine. am i right. the last time i rode,i was in a wheelie in first and then went to second. instead of coming straight back up it sort of slipped and whined out. its like the clutch was slipping. is that from the oil that i put in? it was regular penzoil 10 w 30 motor oil. can someone shed some light on this for me, i'm going riding in the morning......oh by the way that was funny as hell about the guy replacing his powerband..........lol..........
  5. i was mixing the gas the wrong mixture but i corrected it by mixing it 44to 1. it was smoking real bad out of the pipes but its not anymore since i drained the gas and added the right mixture. the question i have is the tail pipes have oil in them from the smoke that was coming out of them.i cleaned the ends today but the inside is still oily. do i take the baffles out and get the oil out? i have fatty pipes and it has 2 screws so the baffles can come out. if so, what do i clean them with? thanks for your help ::
  6. yeah i have a stock air box with a k&n filter? i think the guy who owned it before me put this adapter on it or that what it looks like. i was running klotz in it, but when i switched to MAXIM smoke free 2 cycle thats when it started to smoke real bad. i mixed it straight 50 to 1 [ all fresh ]and there was no problem. when i tried to mix that old 20 to 1 with a gal. of staight gas it started to smoke again. could it be that my bike is jetted wrong?how about if the other guy was running 110 octane and i switched it to 93 octane. should i have switched the jetts? ::
  7. i went and tried to take the airbox off permenatly this morning but i guess i need a special piece from the back of the carbs to fit my K&N filter. the air box goes all the way to the carbs. do i have to cut the box or do i need to buy some type of aftermarket part? the other problem i had was i was mixing the gas and oil at 20 to 1 and it was missing real bad and didnt have alot of power. someone on here told me to mix it 50 to 1 and change the plugs [which i did] it ran fine. i had a bunch of gas left over so i mixed it half and half but now the bike is smoking again. can i add 1 more gallon of straight gas to it or should i drain it and start fresh again? could the wrong jets be doing this too?
  8. i'm tearing my carbs off today and removing my airbox also. i also read on here that you can take a drimmel with a sand paper bit and hone the stock intakes out some. is this any good? if so let me know i already have it apart. can someone give the right size to cut it to?i dont want to mess it up
  9. i made a post a few hours ago and i want to say thanks for the help. i do have time to soak them but where are the jetts located at ? can i mess anything up taking them apart? i wont need any replacement parts will i? should i do anything to my reeds when i have it all apart? do the reeds need to be cleaned as well? thanks again. will this make the bike run better? the guy who owned it before me didnt know what he was doing. he was mixing the oil 20 to 1 and i'm glad someone on here told me the right way.
  10. i just got my bike running again because the gas was mixed with too much oil. its all good now but tomarrow i'm going to do some more things tp it. can someone please tell me how to clean the carbs? do i have to take them off the bike ? what cleaner do i get ect......once again thanks for everyones help. this is a great site

  13. diesel, look bro sorry for your luck i would be pissed as hell too but use your head a little and never make threats especially in writing. if something happens to him he might be a whore and get you locked up. dont get me wrong,i agree with you,i'm from wash. d.c. and you dont take shit from no one ,that shit could bite you in the ass. i would definatly take that $$$$$$$$$$ out of his hide..i'd at least break one of his hands so he couldnt work.......be careful what you say on here, i know youre pissed. i hope you get your bike going soon

  18. thanks for all of ypu alls help. worked on shee today and the gas had too much oil in it .no more smoke thank god.......I LOVE THIS SITE.....YOU ALL SAVED ME LOTS OF$$$$$$$$$$ :beer:
  19. thanks jason and yes you did talk to me before.i put it in the gearbox not the gas.i'm going to drain all the gas and try the 40 to 1 it seems like its got no power.i'm going to change the plugs also.thanks again i'll email you back with the results tomarrow......peace bro
  20. could that make the right side smoke too? it was running fine until i went too deep in the water. it was deeper than i thought
  21. i have a 95 shee and was having excessive smoke out of the right tail pipe. someone told me that it might need a crank seal and to put this liquid [thick] that supposed to stop seal leaks.i did that last week and i changed the oil. i let it set till today and when i went to see what was up,it ran real bad with alot of pinging and it had no power at all. the smoke wasnt as bad but some was still there.do you think that stuff did something to my engine? i was going to drain the oil tomarrow and see what up then. also none of the smoke ect even happened until i changed 2 cycle oil from klotz to maxim [smoke free].i mixed it 20 to 1 like i was told and it has run bad. i just got the bike not too long ago .could the oil be too much ? should i drain the oil and gas and mix it 40 to 1 like i read that alot of guys do on here? i really want to ride cause i got the bike not long ago but havent rode it much. i dont want to mess it up at all. ihope that you all can give me some help on this.................. ::
