  2. come on guys hook up the info. i dont want to tear apart the crankcase because 1 person told me to. i need some more opinions!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. is there any way to check the crank without having to tear the bottom apart. i really dont want to have to but if thats the case ill try. thanks a lot for posting the pics next time i will try that. i spin the crank and it feels real smooth but i dont know if theres more to it than that or not thanks again
  4. come on guys i know its a pain in the ass to see the pics but i really need some opinions, otherwise maybe someone can tell me a good way to put pics on these treads.
  5. i was wondering the best way to make sure there isnt any peices of the rings in the crankcase . I busted some rings and im going to rebuild so far i drain the tranny fluid and fliped my shee upside down and tried to rinse and blow everything out of the crankcase also i tried to put a magnet in there to try to grab anything. is there anything else i can do without tearing the rest of the motor apart. thanks
  6. i think this will be easier enter the phone number 7637425410 and the password is b3qscp. i tried to make the pics public but they wont let me and ii tried to copy but it wont let me paste on this page. im not real good at this stuff . thanks. that website is www.t-mobilepictures.com
  7. how do i give permission to look at the pics. its looked to me like it catches but im not sure so hopefully we can get those pics to you. i did get it ported and polished alomg with the .40 over bore, it was done by bill bune in anoka minnesota he is very reputable and has been in business for over 30 years. i eas going to bring my jugs to him today to get them honed maybe he can take a look and find something. its like this has been happening since i first bought it.thanks a lot

  10. does it matter if the domes are a little nicked up from some rings ?
  11. ill try them i tried 340 mains this summer around 70 to 80 degrres and i had to remove my airlid to get it to open up but know that its getting colder they might work. im not sure why it blew up this time but i know the other 2 were because of jetting but thanks to these forums i thought i had it pretty close. but the every time the cylinder look the same it looks almost like the ring cathes the exhaust port or they just seem to get messed up in that area. i just want to get it right this time thanks for the input.
  12. i ave an 04 banshee thats bored .40 over with coolhead 21cc domes paul turner pipes mild port and polish with k&n with pro flow adapter i had 300 mains needle in the middle with stock pilotand air screw out about a 1/4 to 1/2 a turn im in minnesota so elvation is just above sea level and temps wiill probably be 20 to 30 degees my gas is 92 octane with amsoil dominater 40 to 1. it blew up on me with this setup and i think im going to try 320 mains with a 30 pilot, dennis kirk only goes in increments of 5 or i would probably try 27.5 pilots . do you think this would be close and will the 30 pilots be ok please help im sick of rebuilding this thing.
  13. I think im just above sea level im in central minnesota the reason i only put rings in the one side is because it was rebuilt just before that then I put all the other parts on and i only had 220 main in it and another ring went shortly after and the other side looked good but when i do it again ill know to do both sides together, its tough when the wifes pissed about all the money im putting into a new wheeler she just doesn't understand its a banshee and sometimes you learn things the hard way. ive always had fourstroke wheelers and 1 dirtbike also a rm 500 that i got when i was 13 yrs old my dad traded an old honda shadow nighthawk that sat outside for a few years for an 83 rm 500 and an 86 yamaha xt 350 enduro in near mint condition pretty sweet deal but I never had to mess with the carbs it always ran good until crankcase gasket blew.So then i found banshee hq and read for about ten hours or so (not all at the same time im not on meth!) j/k but anyways now i figured out how to jet it and a ton of other stuff. but i think i found the problem anyways i diconnected the tors and it seems to be a hell of a lot better. i got home late so i could only rip up and down the road a couple times without pissin the neighbors off we already do that enough. but thanks for all the help if i have anymore problems or stories ill post.
  14. By the way 130 was read on all three cylinders of the sled and also I only put rings in the one side last time so that could explain the difference between the 2 but not the low reading. I let it sit for a few hours and went out to start it and it started on the first kick.any suggestions?
  15. I borrowed a compression tester today and one side said 65 and the other 80 psi so i put the tester on a snowmobile and it read 130 psi so i assume the tester is correct. does that make sense even though it idles good and runs good all the way until 3/4- full throttle. the motor was rebuilt about 8 months ago i use amsoil and mix 40:1 my main jet is 310 and plugs are dark brown. It shouldn't have broke a ring and it doesn't run bad like the other time a ring went. I dont want to tear it apart if i don't have to. please help!!!!
