Looking for a Marvin Shaw rear shock that is 14-15" in length, eye-to-eye. Can be a Comp, Hillshooter, or Coil Over. PM me

I'm looking for a MS rear coil over or hillshooter, needs to be around 13.5" eye-to-eye. I haven't measured exactly but I know it's around that. This will be for my Raptor 1000 with a +14 swinger so hopefully it came from a similar setup, or I will just it to MS for a rebuild if it's cheaper than buying a new one. Thanks!

I only need the sleeve, no bearings or seals. This is for a +14 Raptor 660 swingarm with a solid pivot tube, thus I need a much longer sleeve. A used one from someone's old swingarm would be fine. I'll pay around $15 shipped for it. Shipping with USPS in an envelope would be a few bucks.

I am looking into extended swingarms for the Banshee I'm going to get. I do mostly dune riding/dragging so I think a longer swingarm would be beneficial. I'm thinking a +2 or +4. Does anyone have pics from the side of their Banshee with an extended swingarm? I want it to look good and perform well. Thanks

Wrong. Red line is basically the RPM that you don't want to go over, getting it's name from the red markings that are on the tachometer in cars. Redline in most cars is governed, meaning the motor physically will not rev past that RPM. Peak power is almost always made before redline, making shifting at redline pretty much useless.

I haven't seen anyone check ever, but then again I've only been to Pismo dunes and Prarie city.

Ok, I've been looking at green vs red stickers trying to understand how they work. I've figured out that a red sticker restricts your riding season to certain times of the year. My question is, which year Banshees get a red sticker, 2002 and earlier? I guess the red sticker is based on year and VIN number. I think if the 8th digit is a 3 or a C, then you get a red sticker. What if you have a 2002 Banshee with a C or a 3 in the 8th place, does it get a green or red sticker? I plan on riding mostly during the summer, which appears to be black out time for red stickers. Thanks!

Thanks! You mentioned the chain, how bad is sand for the chain? I'd imagine that with a lubed chain, it will get loads of sand in it, or am I wrong?

Well, I agree, a Banshee might be a tall order for a first quad, but I would start with something fast so I'm not bored in the future. Frankly, the 400 was a little slow for my tastes after riding it for awhile. I have about 30 hours of quad riding, and 10 on dirt bike. Yes, I know speed is an addiction, as I've found out with cars. Well I just registered like 10 minutes ago. I'm looking into getting into the quading game. I'm not new to the world of ATVs and dirt bikes, but I have never owned my own. I've just ridden friends' bikes or rented. I've ridden YZ125, TRX250, TRX400, and a CRF450, in the dunes and the dirt. I really like the feel of two-strokes so that's why I'm looking into a Banshee. If not, then something like a YFZ450. In the past four years, my hobby has been cars, mostly late model V8 GM's, LS1s, LS2s, LS6s, and LS7s. I currently own a 99Z28 with a forged 427 with 560rwhp. It's a lot of fun, but not practical. Smogging the damn thing is a nightmare, so I'm looking into a new motor hobby that doesn't have any restrictions. I don't know much about Banshee's, but how reliable are they? What are the advantages of Banshee's over other ATV's? Two-strokes over four-strokes? When I get it, I'd like to start modifying it right away, starting with exhaust and intake, then other stuff from there on. What mods do you guys reccomend for a Banshee? It will be primarily ridden in the dunes. Looking for good overall fun and performance, won't be competitvely raced. Also, I'd like to know about maintaining a Banshee, as is what are the problem areas, etc... What are the differences between model years? I've noticed that Banshees have been made for several years, and they all look the same lol. I'm sure there are some links that will answer my questions, but any help at all is appreciated. Thanks!!!
