  1. I've checked the stator, and the resistance is within spec. I just bought a new coil and have tried 2 different cdi's. I've also followed all of the wires looking for breaks. What it is doing now is: If you unplug the wires from the coil, and crank the engine over for a few seconds...when you put the wires back on the coil and turn it over, you get one spark, but thats it. The only thing tat I can think of is that the flywheel is a little rough looking. The guy I bought it off of must have used a large screwdriver to pull it off. Any advice would be appreciated. thanks
  2. How much voltage should be going into the coils?
  3. I just purchased a Banshee for a reasonable price because the guy could'nt get spark. So I figured , No problem!......I've been working at it for a while and I'm frustrated. It has a new stator, and the coil is supposedly new. I've cleaned up the flywheel and there is voltage going to the coil. After checking the voltage to the coil and plugging it back in, I get one spark and thats it. Any help would be graetly appreciated. I can give more details if needed. Thanks
  4. This is 89 Banshee. I planned on parting it out, but I no longer have the time to do so. Here is some information about the bike. I have not had this bike very long, I don't know too much about it. The one problem that I see is wrong with the bike at the moment is there is no spark. It does have a new stator, and CDI but still no spark. Overall the bike is in good to fair condition, it has two pj 34 mm carbs, boost bottle. Toomey t3 or t4 pipes and silencers. Plus 4 swing arm, ITP black water tires on rear. ITP rims, and dg bumper it also looks to have a stroker kit of some kind. I do not know the exact specks of the kit but it looks like a 4 mill stroker plate. Overall this would be a great resto project,or just fix the problem and ride it as is. I am willing to trade for a 88-92 lt250r, in good condition. Please do not ask if i want to trade for 85 or 86 models i have two already. I would prefer to trade or sell this bike locally am in MI , because I do not have the time to do any long distance driving. Feel free to ask any questions I will do my best to answer them quickly. Here are some pictures of the bike. If you want more pic's or have any ? Email me rentonf23a1@yahoo.com my name is renton Thanks Asking price is $2000 obo
