+1 to pretty much everything Michael Jackson said....I have the GNCC's front and rear on my Banshee and they really hook up. Rubber compound is a bit soft but doesn't wear too badly if you keep 'em off the culm banks. The softness is more than likely part of the reason they hook up so well though. Even on muddy/sloppy trails they really work well. Would absolutely buy them again, except I might get the 21 inchers for the back for a bit more ground clearance (like Mike said the 20 inchers are kinda small).

The idea isn't to heat the spring, it's to remove material from the thickness of the spring. Taking away from the thickness of the spring will make it weaker and therefore easier to stretch. Heat is just a byproduct of the grinding process.

Only ever been there twice. I kinda think I'd prefer ridin my bike there, though - It's pretty rocky. Had fun, though......

I live kinda in between Hazleton, W-B, and Berwick.

I prefer it when 4-stroke owners don't use any oil at all - then the motors quickly cease making that godawful farting sound they all seem to make.

I'm laughing as I read this....I just recently worked on one of the toilets (or "turlet", if you're from northeast PA) and had purchased some rubber washers for mounting the tank. I planned on using these as part of the silencer mounts. :biggrin: :beer:

Thanks for the replies. I realized that most of the ones I saw on ebay DO in fact have some kind of rubber grommet to isolate the pipes from vibes. Anyway being as it's close to Christmas and I bought the quad not too long ago (and just bought the pipes) I'm on a tight budget. I'll try to repair what I've got and fabricate the silencer mounts I need. Those cascade hangers sure look to be really nice, but pricey. You get what you pay for.......

I just got a set of Toomeys for my Banshee and the stock hangers are in kinda rough shape. The one split apart years ago and I held it together by drilling a hole through the center of it and using a bolt and nut to keep everything together. Just noticed that the one on the other side is coming apart as well. Was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations of any particular kinds that hold up well? I've seen some that are just solid (no rubber to isolate the pipes from vibes). Wouldn't these lead to premature cracking of the pipes due to the vibration? Tanks in advance....

I was always under the impression that removing material from the wire diameter (second method described above) was the way to go. :thumbsup:

This may sound funny, but a buddy of mine recently purchased a Banshee and he was having a heckuva time getting the thing to start.....turned out he wasn't pulling the choke out past the first detent. The choke knob on these things has quite a bit of "travel" compared to what he was used to on previous bikes he's owned, and apparently the dealer didn't demonstrate this to him........
