  2. most of my riding up here is trail riding/rat racing in the woods and sand pits, and i thought it would be a good idea to get a rack that would hold a small cooler and maybe some gas. does anyone out there use one, wich one do you use and how do they hold up.
  3. ok all i pulled the clutch ball it it is fine i checked the rod evrything seems to move fine. i think i am going to put a new clutch in it and change the cable while i am at it. the guy i bought it from gave me a new one anyway he said the old one was stetched (i never had a problem). i will post when i am done to let you know if she works.
  4. thanks guys you have all been a big help it is great that you all take time to help a fellow rider i have not had the time to finish checking everything. (family) i hope to do it teusday night i will let you know how it goes. please keep the advice coming i could really use it
  5. i am going to finish taking it apart tonight and i will double check everything i have done so far. by the way what is that pancake bearing. and if it helps that much where can i get 1.
  6. well i guess tomarow i will have to try to get that ball out when i pulled the clutch lever i was able to see that the plates did seperate as they are supposed to so i will check that ball tomarow thanks for the advice and keep it coming.
  7. i just pulled the plates so far i will check everything else before i order parts what do you think i should look for for potential problems on the rest of it.
  8. and what exactly does the clutch ball do i saw it just was wondering what its purpose was.
  9. ok i pulled the clutch out today it does look like i need to replace it. but i don't understand why it stayed engaged and did not slip.i thought when a clutch went it just slipped every other machine i have had has done that when it needed a clutch.
  10. i took it apart tonight it has a lot of water in the fluid (it was a gray color) so i am going to check the water pump seal and change the fluid the clutch itself seems ok.
  11. my banshee has been sitiing in garage for about 6 months i took it out about a week ago and rode it really easy for about 1 hour then the clutch started to not disengage. i took it home put it away. i went out today to check it out and when i put it in gear the clutch stays engaged when i let go of the lever. the cable gets pulled back. everything on the outside does what it is sopposed to do the cable gets pulled back but the quad does not move. i am going to open her up tomarow just wonder if anyone has had this problem before. p.s. if i rev it way up the quad very slowly moves.
  12. would you be willing to sell that -2 and if so how $$$
  13. you all seem very smart so i have one for you. any time i go thru a puddle my 99' shee revs up like it is running lean. but i can not figure out where the watre is geeting in. my intake is good and so is my filter assembly so are there any hoses or breethers on the carb that if water got into them would cause this. any help would be greatly appreciated.
