  1. Have you tried ATVRiders? http://www.exriders.com/vbb/forumdisplay.php?forumid=32
  2. I have a set of cylinders I would like to get rid of. They have been ported, but i do not know what kind of port was done to them. The pistons that came out of them were 65.50 The left cylinder is still good, but the right one has a chunk taken out and will need to be resleeved. I have more pictures at a higher resolution if you need them. I'm not very good at reading a micrometer, but i can take a picture of it in the good cylinder if you want.
  3. i have a set of FMF pipes, they have some surface rust, but I'm going to start cleaning them up tonight. Looks like one of the pipes had a hole in it but was fixed, it's in the picture you can see the little bit of metal that was welded on. They have no dents and sound great. I'm really looking for a 2 into 1 exhaust, I've heard that they give the best low end power. Will also consider any reasonable offer. Thanks
  4. I have to agree with this. I have WSM pistons and rings in mine. The lower ring is slightly thicker then the top. Also, the grooves have a small key built into them so that they can only be installed one way. I'm sure you could force them into the engine upside down, but it won't run for long.
  5. http://www.paragonap.com/ Paragon has lots of dirrerant terrain. Deffinately put your skids on, many of the trails have large loose rocks from jeeps and trucks tearing them up. Some spots you can get a good amount of speed in, a few play areas with jumps and also some winding woods trails. You can almost always go around the mud holes if you want, most aren't that bad unless the jeeps were spinning the tires to make some big ruts. When you get there, you gotta watch a video for the rules, nothing out of the ordinary(helmet, me nice to others, take out your trash..) Costs $25 for quads on weekends and they sell flags for $11. Also, you can now camp there for $5 a night, never have, it's only 2hrs from me. I would rate it an 8. Could be better if they cleaned up some of the rocks, but it's a great trip. When do you plan on going? I might be able to get there.
  6. I bought a set of cylinders from jlm0511 last week and I was more then pleased when they arrived. He gave me a great price on them. He had stated that they were like new, and he wasn't kidding. Still had the cross hatching from the original hone. Makes the rest of my bike look really dirty too, lol.
  7. Ok, thanks everyone for all the insite. I took out the carbs and cleaned them then cleaned some more. took everything little screw needle and jet out and cleaned all those, put it back together and I THINK it's better now. This bike is new to me and didn't really run when I got it, so it's kinda hard to tell if its right. I went up to about 1/4 throttle and it seemed to rev up to it instantly and then went back down to normal, going to have to wait until the am to actually ride it so I don't piss off the neighbors. Do these bikes rev up that fast? I only ask because I have a tecate-3, it revs quick but not nearly as fast as this did. Oh yeah, there is an air filter on it and the plate says pro flow, just didn't come with a lid for the air box.
  8. Well, i just got my bike together but it's not running right. It idle's perfect for as long as I let it run, but as soon as I touch the gas it quickly revs up really high, and I just barely touched the gas, maybe 1/8 throttle if that. Fourtunatly I had my thunb on the kill switch so I got it shut down quick. It does this every time I start it and I can''t figure out what it is. The carb boots look good, no cracks and they're on tight. Any idea's? I know the main jet its way too big for my set up, but I didn't think that would cause this problem. It's a 97 Stock cylinders no port or bore fmf pipes no air box lid 340 mains 25 pilots Cool Head with 21cc domes I just put the cylinders on with new pistons and all new gaskets, I'm getting about 135psi in both cylinders.
  9. Anyone up for paragon on sunday 8-20? I should have my shee running by then, it would be my first trip out with it. If shee don't work, back to the tecate-3
  10. Thanks guys, i'll have to stop by the local shop and pick up a few sets to try, at least they're pretty cheap. And thanks for the reeds keith, get a chance to try out the v3's yet? I gotta wait until the weekend until i get a day off to put this bike back together.
  11. Those are some tiny numbers, had to get out a magnifying glass to see them. Looks like 340 and 25 I just go the bike, and I don't think the last guy had it set up well. It's a 97, i will be running is 1000 altitude usually fron 75-95 degrees stock bore, not porting stock reeds fmf fatty pipes stock filter with a lid once I get one most of my riding is tight rocky muddy trails, don't need much top speed I rarely get my tecate out of 3rd gear. Should I change these jets? How about the exhaust, would i be better off with the stock pipes to get more low end and midrange power? Thanks
  12. How do I know what size jets I have? I just got a 97 shee and i'm cleaning it up and getting it to run better. I couldn't see any markings on the jets, but i believe they are the stock carbs. The guy I got it from had no clue, he said he had the bike for a year and never changed anything on it.
  13. Do you still have the cylinders?
  14. How much for the cylinders shipped to 07832?
