    Need good trail pipes

Bought a set, thanks for the replies!
  2. Hmm a doc's vist might have been in order for that one. Bad burns can get nasty if not properly treated.
  3. Straight out of the owners manual: 1. 0-10 hours- Avoid continuous opertation above half throttle. Allow a cooling off period of five to ten minutes after every hour of operation. Vary speed of the machine from time to time. Do not operate it at one set throttle position. 2. 10-20 hours- Avoid prolonged operation above 3/4 throttle. Rev machine freely through the gears but do not use full throttle at any time.
  4. I live in Letcher and do most of my riding here. You can get to Knott and Perry while up on the mountain easy, we usually cross over into Perry to get some beer at the Blue Goose, lol. BTW I sent ya a PM.
  5. Damn, mind taking a few pictures of that? I'd like to see it.

Toomeys, FMFs, something! c'mon guys $200-300 range, I need 'em!
  7. Same here, everyone here has utility quads. Went on a ride in the rain this weekend and I got stuck in a few mud holes. Not gonna happen again!
  8. I bought some claws this weekend! I was a little worried that they would effect my riding in a negative way, but after talking to a few guys that live in my area, they convinced me they would be great. So I slapped them on and took it up the mountain onto the strip job today. I'll have to say they are f'in sweet. Got up to about 65 on the road to the mouth of the hollar and the ride was smooth. Much better than before. The extra clearance and grip I got really helped my climb up the 300 yd rocky stairstep to the top. Up top there are alot of rocky and rutted trails, and I sailed over them. Then, on the way back down a gravel road I could slide around the curves with much more control than before. I'm really happy. The only negatives I can convay would be that I did have to work the clutch a little more in 1st and 2nd to keep rpms high and since the grip was so good I couldn't do any donuts (lol). If your looking for a good rough terrian tire, I would recommend these!
  9. Roger, thanks for clearing that up.
  10. Hey guys, I live real close to a small local airport so I can get AV gas pretty easy. My question is if I've been runnin 93 can I just switch to the AV (104-110 I think) without doing anything at all? Will I see a performance increase? Thanks guys, you have to help educate the new guy!
  11. Hey guys, I slight update. I got a new air filter and bought some 22x12-9 kenda bear claws for the rear. The gearing seems to be fine, I just had to adjust. I'm thinking about getting some pipes for a little extra kick. I don't really want to get a 2 into 1 cause I don't want to lose my top end, I just don't want to lose any more bottom end. Any suggestions?
  12. Yeah, thats why I'm watching ebay for a 5 gal. tank...
  13. Took my '03 banshee I bought last week on a big trip. Was great, I'm hooked on it... I put it through the ringer, huge stairsteps, hills, jumps, even a foot deep river. Not one problem... I gotta get some pipes and new tires though. Anyway, here are some pics. (Didn't take a good camera 'cause there was a chance for a t-storm, which did hit. We got drenched.)
  14. Title says all, message me and we'll work out something. I'd prefer paypal.
  15. Hey guys, I did a few searches trying to look up an answer but didn't find much, so I'll just ask. I just bought a 2003 stock (has a skid plate) 'shee off a buddy. It only has about 20+ hours on it (we're military, got deployed soon after he bought it and now doesn't want it). Its the first two stroke I've owned. So far I love the dang thing, its like being shot out of a canon. But, I do have some concerns... I live in the mountains. We do almost all of our riding on old strip mines. Theres alot of trail/hill riding involved. I struggled abit with getting use to the low end on trails. It seemed pretty rough on the 'shee. I tried to keep it from bogging to much, becuase I don't want to start fouling out plugs. I'm sure alot of it is my technique, being that this is my first two stroke. So I'm asking, what advice do you guys have for riding in terrian like that? Also, are their any mods I should be looking into to help out? I read that a stock banshee is already pretty good for trail. Thanks guys!
