  1. Awesome, I'll look into that, thanks!!!
  2. Awesome....thank you for the info
  3. Well it's not bored much, just enough to get rid of scaring on the cylinders. I run premium pump gas, elevation 800ft. Timing is stock as far as I know. Bike is not modded much.
  4. I'm rebuilding my top end as I blew it up last week. One of the domes is pitted pretty good so wanting to order new ones, but not sure what size to get. In the round circle machined part towards the side of the dome it says 21. I take it that means they are 21cc domes? Is that what I should stick with? Here are my mild mods. I would like to know what you all sugguest. Thanks in advance Wiseco Pro lites Toomey filter Boysen reeds Cool Head Pro Circuit pipes Boost bottle (I know, lame) Stock stroke Stock bottom end (as far as I know) The thing came with 19cc domes and I thought that was too much, so I put the domes that are in it now, but can't remember what they were, I'm assuming 21cc since they have the #21 on them?
  5. I'm looking for a stock upper right A-arm, a front stock rim, and a set of handlebars.....bars can be aftermarket. Let me know whacha got and how much $ Thanks
  6. Right on, thanks for the info. I'll start looking for some 21's. Any idea about the rings question? Are they the same size or different? They have the same part # so I'm assuming they are the same.
  7. would that be like a 50/50 mix of pump and race gas? What race gas would you use? VP? Sorry for all the questions here, just alot to learn about these bikes. I should prob just go with 21cc domes I guess. I just like to go out and rip it, i don't need to be buying race gas really, unless you think it would totaly be worth staying with 19cc domes and running a mix?
  8. I'll just keep the pipes I have, not really looking to spend more money but thanks. Any sugguestions on my jetting or domes? That's what I'm really looking for here . Oh and the ring sizes on the Wiseco pro lite piston kit, are they the same or different?
  9. ok, might do that after I get the rebuild done. Thanks
  10. The highest I can get from a station around here is 92. But then again, with 19cc domes, would 91 octane be good enough for the compression?
  11. lol, I appreciate the honestly. I run pump gas, 91 octane. Also have another question. The Clymers manual says that the rings are different sizes. They look the same to me (I know it says to mic them) and they both have the same part #, is this only with stock pistons and rings or are the Wiseco the same? Do I need to go by a mic tool?
  12. Ok, doing a rebuild right now. I bought this banshee and haven't changed anything since I bought it. I recently blew it up, now going through rebuild. I have some questions. Below are my mods and current jetting/domes info. Pro Circuit factory sound 304 Platinum pipes. K&N shorties (or whatever they are called) hanging off the carbs (stock carbs) Boost bottle (I know they suck, but that's what came on it) Boysen power reeds Cool Head w/19cc domes Mains = 310 Pilots = 25 Air screws out 1.75 turns Elevation = 850 ft Winter temp avg about 30F-50F degrees 1st question Destroyed one of my domes, part of the piston melted/broke off and that piece beat pits all in the dome. With the mods I have, do I stay with 19cc domes or change them? 2nd question How does my jetting sound for my set up? Should I change the jetting any? I had the cylinders honed and that's it, it was minimum. I bought a Wiseco piston kit. I'm pretty new to 2-strokes, so sugguestions are very well appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help. I have browsed this forum for a while and see there are alot of educated people on here.
  13. did you see any physical damage to them? I couldn't see anything wrong with mine that i know of. maybe i will switch the reeds from left to right and see if it does it on the right side, then i will know they are bad.
  14. Newbie here, own an 01 banshee, only had it about a month. Was riding the other day and it just started to bog and spit out the left exhaust. It will start and as long as it's reved it sounds fine but once you drop to about 1/2 the rpm range it spits out of the left exhaust and it will not idle, just bogs and dies. When attempting to start it it spits about every 6 or 7 kicks. I replaced the plugs, checked for air leaks and pulled out the reeds and they look just fine, no cracks. Now i don't know crap about carbs. Could it be a carb issue? Any ideas on what else to check? I've done searches and have checked the normal things, but just don't know where to go from here. It has a cool head, white brothers boost bottle (i think that's what it is, the aluminum tube on top if the intake above and in front of the carbs)..... K&N's right off the carbs and Pro circuit platinum series pipes. I do not know if the reeds are stock or not. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
