My elev is like 1100 ft i live 8 miles north of Ks Ok border so it is a hot bastard like 85 and up close to 100 sometimes.i run 93 octain fuel to.with mobile 1

Ok i have gone threw here and read all the diff problems people have on there bikes with jetting carbs and pipes and have almost got my bike figured out and fixed but i tstill have one small prob that bugs the shit out of me. My bike brand new in April 06 has FMF fattys ,power coreII silencers , K&N pod filters with outer wears, thats it no other mods other than jetting completely stock.The main jet size is 280 and the needle is set at the 4th clip.The bike runs great in the midrange pulls hard like it should and has started to pull much better on the top end but not to what i have been told it should pull and how other shees i have rode pulled for stock.Anyway my bigest nag is my 1/8 to 1/4 throttle it just does not have the take off that others i have rode do.I know the pilot jet has to do with this but does it make that much diffrence when you change the pipes on the bike as far as the take off power.The bike starts and iddles fine does not load up and is not hard to start if it is cold so i just figured that the pilot jet was ok i have set the screw at .5 out to 1.5 out and the stock setting was 2 turns out but i still have a little stumble in that first take off , normaly a person on a shee does not ride in that part off the throttle but it is a nag that eats at me because it should not be that way.My plugs are brown and dry i cant find an air leak on the bike so that out.and i cant find anythin else in genral that could be wrong. So i guess the end ? would be does the pilot jet have that much effect on the bike with minor mods that i have done. :: Thanks For any Help

I just put on a 13 tooth sprocket in the middle of the DANG desert and did not take out a link of chain or anything.Might make sure your chain aint streched. Just My Thoughts

well i bought my 06 easter weekend,before i had 30 seconds of ride time we cut the front fenders and flipped the rear tires and got rid of all the saftey stickers ha ha ha saftey whoo needs it.Oh ya we also took all the badge stickers off i don't like stickers. i would put pics on here but i dont know how to make them smaller they are to big

Thanks for the response i think i will cut the lid for now but it wont be long before i cant stand it and dump money in the K&N filter and adapter,then start from there with all the GOOD STUFF. Thanks Again

Ok i just bought My first SHEE brand new.so far i have only cut the front fenders and turnd the rear wheels around to make it wider,oh and took off all the Saftey stickers.Anyway i only run the bike on the Dunes and some open trails never going to see any mud i hope.What i want to know is with out spending any money can i cut the air box to let in some more air and where do i cut it at,i know i will need to re jet it a little after i do this but that is an expence i can handle.i am still running stock Pipes. I love the site hope to get a pic of my SHEE on here soon
