Ok i have gone threw here and read all the diff problems people have on there bikes with jetting carbs and pipes and have almost got my bike figured out and fixed but i tstill have one small prob that bugs the shit out of me.
My bike brand new in April 06 has FMF fattys ,power coreII silencers , K&N pod filters with outer wears, thats it no other mods other than jetting completely stock.The main jet size is 280 and the needle is set at the 4th clip.The bike runs great in the midrange pulls hard like it should and has started to pull much better on the top end but not to what i have been told it should pull and how other shees i have rode pulled for stock.Anyway my bigest nag is my 1/8 to 1/4 throttle it just does not have the take off that others i have rode do.I know the pilot jet has to do with this but does it make that much diffrence when you change the pipes on the bike as far as the take off power.The bike starts and iddles fine does not load up and is not hard to start if it is cold so i just figured that the pilot jet was ok i have set the screw at .5 out to 1.5 out and the stock setting was 2 turns out but i still have a little stumble in that first take off , normaly a person on a shee does not ride in that part off the throttle but it is a nag that eats at me because it should not be that way.My plugs are brown and dry i cant find an air leak on the bike so that out.and i cant find anythin else in genral that could be wrong.
So i guess the end ? would be does the pilot jet have that much effect on the bike with minor mods that i have done. ::
