Loco- im going with your setup not that i favor one over the other its just why spend 30$ when you can do it yourself for free and what all did you chop out of your harness i like the simplicity of it i tryed to do similar to mine and fucked all up so im buyin another one to start over with... thats badass thou :beer:

Well i think it was last summer i was ridin the shee and i went down the road a few miles to pick up my buddy and shit and throughout the day it would make a kinda wierd noise when you would let off the throttle but i thought nothing of it so anyways after i pick my buddy up which happens to be a hefty size dude were headin up the road and i start losin power real i knew it was dying on me so i looked at him and im like "fuck it man ride it till the wheels fall off", we make it up the road a few hundred feet and it dyed out i tryed to see if it would start back up and you could stand on the kick starter and im thinkin ohh fuck i broke a rod or some shit anyways we let it cool down for about 10 mins and it fires back up somehow and i didnt wanna be stranded along the highway so we attempt to make it back to my house, we only made it about a .25 mile up the road and it dyed again and blew it out smoke that was blue as my plastic :shoothead: after i got a ride home from a local i took my motor to tear it down and discovered the cause was from one plug coming loose and it ran really lean the one piston had a hole burnt completely throu and the other had a moon lookin crater in it.... it also melted the rings to pistons :banghead:

     

    Moral of the story buy a plug lock or make sure there tight

  3. well when i was at school the other day my pops orderd me my new chain i tol him to get the primary drive sprockets and a did x ring chain but he orderd a renthal kit from motosport.com are they any good havent heard much bout i told him he was prolly payin 4 da name

     

    i have the DID x Ring and renthal kit on my shee had it about a year and a half now with no problems knock on wood :shoothead: lol

  4. i don't have any pics but he ran an "87" banshee with a moto fast pipe.

     

    yeah i know he ran a 2-1 pipe and a single 40MM lectron carb... does anyone have a pic of a 2-1 exhaust? i cant find a pic of that etheir... thknas

  5. oh its challenging :biggrin: especially after a couple heavy rains.pics are one thing but seeing and actually climbing it is another. :biggrin:

     

    yeah sorry guys im pretty sure its closed for the winter but they should reopen around march or sometime i havent tryed to climb it yet but i've seen it in person and its a pretty damn big hill considering you only get a 20 ft run :laugh:

  7. I used this stuff called aircraft remover. I bought it at Oreillys. It is just like an industrial strength paint remover. You definitly don't want to get it on your skin. I just sprayed it on and let it set for about 5-10 minutes then just wiped them off. I have heard of people using oven off oven cleaner. I don't know about that but that aircraft remover will definitly take it off. You want to make sure you don't get it on anything you don't want paint removed from because it will take it off fast.

  8. i think i found the problem cuz about a week ago i had a bad oring on the coolhead so the whole radiator drained into the motor and filled up the pipes... so i riggedit back together with some gasket seal temporary..... now when i shut it off you can hear it boilin in the pipe and it smokes like hell so i need to get a new oring kit and i think that should fix it :headbang:

  9. my banshee is an 01 which i bought new back then but it blew up on me thanks to a lose spark plug anyways when i had the motor rebuilt it was bored .040 over and has niks pro x pistons.... toomey tr6's and it was also port and polished ( wish i woulda bought t5's )... not sure what kind of port was done?..... also how would i be able to tell if my impeller is not working?... this could be possible becasue its never overheated on me before

  10. hey everyone... first post but anyways after i bought the toomey tr6's i removed the water bottle and tied the hose around the steering stem which doesnt make that much sense to me because when the radiator is full the overflow outlet is only about an inch above that so when your ridin hard wouldnt your antifreeze be spilling out?....... anyways every time i ride mine it overheats and i can only ride for like 20 mins and then i gotta fill the radiator back up so i dont seize my motor up tighter then a nuns cunt lol now i know this could be because of my jetting being becasue it is and i cant rejet becasue i have no killswitch to shut it off but im taking it to the dealership next week..... has anyone else have or had this problem?
