it most likely was cause i know its been taken apart a few times. you think the gearing was screwed around with? cause i can take off pretty easy in 3rd and i know in a normal banshee that wouldnt happen. I also know its been raced before cause i know the guy who used to race it but there have been other owners since. he said there has always been a lag problem in first and 2nd. could it be the way the guy put the engine back together? or the gears.. or somthing hah

Hey I just bought a banshee and I can take off good in 3rd but I have no 1st or 2nd gear. Anyone know of any possible problems? If i pop the clutch in 1st the tires barely spin and when I hold it to the bar it just boggs and I get nothing out of the first 2 gears. Could it be the sprockets? He said the gearing was at 14/40 but I have no idea what that is. When I get to 3rd and 4th it goes like snot but theres nothing in the top end. Any help would be appreciated.
