  1. Okay my banshee is basically stock with a couple minor mods. its a 99 or 98. It has the TORS removal kit. the " passenger " carb is leaking gas and I'm not getting any kind of combustion on that same cylinder. It has 155lbs of compression & it also has good spark. My question is: is the carb float stuck or sticking and flooding out the cylinder? Also There is black wet spray coming out of the pipe. The left cylinder is fine though & running hot & solid? Any suggestions?
  2. I have a 99 Banshee that is bored i think 20 over? It has FMF pipes, cool head with 17 cc domes, TORS removal kit & boost Bottle. It's nothing special, just my brothers quad. If you're sitting on the machine that " Passenger Cylinder " is not firing. I tried a new plug assuming that it was fouled, but its still not firing. Where do I need to start? I was going to check spark, compression & then any other suggestions? Should I be looking for any loose wires, lines or hoses? Is there anyone in southeast Michigan who knows a lot about these that could take a look at it?

  5. On the new carbs, I didn't add the idle screw and drill them out. I adjusted the idle with the slides on top of the carbs. my other carbs had the idle screw and I'm getting the SAME EXACT response.
  6. I HAVE THE SAME F* ING PROBLEM AND DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!
  7. Okay, I have a 99 banshee Rebuilt last year, with a cool head, FMF's & TORS removal kit. It will not idle. So I purchased new carbs for it ( used ones off here ) and it does the same thing. It will rev up fine, and it will NOT idle. U have to keep surging the throttle to get it to stay running. the choke tube is connected, the slides are in correctly. The carbs are adjusted properly. NOW... Could Reeds, or bad gaskets between carbs & reeds cause this problem? What about a " somewhat loose choketube" all the rubber hoses on this quad are worn and hard, and I am going to replace them anyways. Please HELP!!
  8. Yes I have to keep it at 3/4 throttle to keep it idleing. I am buying some used carbs on here and I hope this resolves it. If not I have to start looking elsewhere
  9. The idle screw is moving the slide. Could it be sucking air somewhere? Literally the slide need to be at 75 throttle to achieve an idle. And at the point, the quad is screaming. This is driving me crazy. I know it is air/fuel related. It has to be. It's just a matter of finding the problem. Anyone around Michigan that knows these things like the back of thier hand?
  10. I am new to this site and I thought i WOULD turn to the experts for advice on my quad. I have a 98 banshee. It has a cool head, TORS Kit Bored 30 over with FMF pipes & silencers. Since I rebuilt it last year, ( Top End ). I cannot get it to idle correctly. It is getting basically no fuel at idle. Here's what I have tried: I pulled apart both carbs & checked pilot jet. It's clean. While I was inside the carbs, I cleaned them both out very good. I also checked to see if the idle screws were moving in far enough to properly adjust the slides. They both are working correctly. Could I have wired the TORS kit wrong? It was last year so I don't have the instructions. The Banshee Runs AWESOME when it's reved up, It's only problem is, it will not idle. It DOES start right up and run fine when Accelerating. Please Help
