  5. Thanks for the help guys! I got them at the local hardware for 19 cents each.
  6. don't have a dealer close, that's why i wanna hit the hardware store. didn't think about finding a nut to fit original, good idea. Thanks guys.
  7. I had to e-z out my screws on my front brake master cylinder cover. does anyone know the size of the screws? so i can check the local hardware store. Thanks.
  8. Well thanks for all the help! I got her running good I adjusted the float on the left side, and moved the clips on the needle to the 3rd groove Now she takes right off in first no bog, no dying on me. I think alot of the fuel coming out the left side was from when i had the wrong pilot in, I lifted her up, and dumped a bunch of fuel out of the left pipe. Then took her out and haven't seen anything out of the pipe. Didn't get her out of first gear cause of location right now, but I felt her kick into the power band My first two stroke and first banshee, she's gonna scream! Well again thanks for all the help Banshee HQ rocks!
  9. ok had carbs out again and checked reeds and reed cages while i was at it. Those were ok. I checked float level on left carb and was 1-2mm high so i re set that. the right carb float was sticking when i'd tilt it back and forth, so i turned the float needle around on the float tab, and that seemed to fix it. i'm gonna move the clips to the 3rd slot on both sides today, put everything back together and see how she does wish me luck
  10. Cool, thanks alot. Just wanted to make sure before I put them back in
  11. Ok, I'm spitting fuel out the left pipe at idle and it shoots way out if i give it a little throttle. So I took off the reed cages to check the reeds since it hasn't ran for 4 years. on the reed cage there is two marks. on the left side the marks were on the top, on the right side the marks were on the bottom. Which should it be or does it make a difference? The reeds are ok, and everything else looks ok, just need to know which directions the marks on the cage face, up or down?
  12. Is there spark or not on left side? If there is, I had same problem. Just redid my carbs, and the carb kits came with two pilot jets. I put the wrong one in, it was dumping too much fuel in at idle and killing the spark. I put the correct pilot in and everything was fine. just a thought
  13. clip is 4th groove from where it seats, 2nd from blunt end.
  14. Ok first i want to thank everyone on these boards for all their help This is my first banshee and everyone was a great help with helping me getting spark. Now I need help with the jetting. I have 87 shee. Bought it not running due to no spark. Have that fixed. now it starts and will idle, got it warmed up, put it in gear and went to take off and it bogs and dies. Fuel is spitting out the left pipe. pulled the plugs just to have a look, and the left is wet and light tan/brown? I'm colorblind. the right is brown/black and has drop of fuel on metal where strap connects. I bought it from a guy who was running it in Michigan. I'm in ohio, about 900ft elevation, around 40-50 degrees right now. It is stock as far as i know, except he had the boost bottle put on. The air filter is covered with a nylon cover in stock box and lid. I have cleaned the carbs. They have 220 mains, 25 pilots and air screws are 2 turns out, stock needle, clip on 2nd from top. I put them back together how they were originally set up. carbs are synched. crossover tube is installed. I just want to know if you can help me on why I'm spitting fuel, and what kind of jetting I should have for my location and temp at this time. Something to get me in the ball park. Thanks alot in advance everyone Oh yeah, it hasn't ran in four years, drained old fuel, cleaned screens, new oil in gearbox, new radiator fluid, running 32:1 yamalube, 93 oct.
