  3. some pics from the last TT
  4. Sorry guys right here, yup I have completed the build (still have to strip and make it pretty) but I have been riding the crap out of her both TT and alot of MX practice and its awesome. I doubt standard pipes will fit and I am pretty sure you will have to have them modified to fit.
  5. Hey Oz thanks buddy, I ended yp just doing it myself, I drilled and tapped the carbs and made up 2 idle screws. trying to find a pic...
  6. I wouldnt use an air compressor on there....... have you adjusted the compression and rebound screws? and what about the preload adjustment? I had mine revalved on the 450 and that made a huge improvement over stock.
  7. I am running a YFZ450 rad in my hybrid and I have had no overheating issues
  8. yup.......
  9. popped the new timing plate on, assembled everything and she runs, same stator, same pickup.
  10. Hi All I dont have access to buying the TORS eliminator kit down here in South Africa. I managed to pick up the carb tops off a freind who gave me his twist grip, I put the tops on and I have used the screws on the carb tops to set the idle and it works but... I am not too happy doing it this way. Does anyone know what idle screw I would ask for? The tap etc wont be a problem.
  11. Hi Guys I hate to seem lazy but the search doesnt work so well for me (seems all the words I use are 4 letters), does anyone have a link to a post explaining what I need to do this idle kit conversion? I just pulled the tors carb tops off yesterday and I was just going to adjust the idling using the non tors tops, thought thats how the tors tops did it? Thanks
  12. I just don't want it to happen again! That's why I am trying to figure out what caused it? The stator looks OK so I didnt order a new one, I am going try it with the new timing plate and hopefully I can get away with the pickup for now.... I was so looking forward to racing her on Saturday got to the track did scruteneering and she was purring went for a spin down the jetting strip to warm her up and ended up pushing her all the way back not my best day and she has been running so sweet!
  13. did'nt lock tite them but they were tight I am pretty sure I checked that it was clearing when I had it all apart but who knows. That was the standard timing plate that I had modified so I could advance the timing....... I have just ordred a pro design timing plate, it should be here tomorrow.
  14. Hi All my timing plate has broken where the pickup is attached the one mount for the pickup has broken clean off. The pickup itself looks like it been running againest the fly wheel slightly, would that have caused the mount to break? sorry the pics are a little out of focus bad light!
  15. I had my shee dynoed and jetted I had a K&N filter with airbox etc but now I am running 2 pods straight off the carbs, do you guys think I am lean?
  16. Hi Ppl I am running a complete YFZ450 front end on my Banshee its made a huge difference to the handling etc, I have managed to buy a complete YFZ rolling chassis and after the TT season is finished I am going to be stripping my shee and building the motor into the YFZ frame....... I have see a vid on you tube of another guy who's already done the conversion but I cant seem to contact him. Has anyone else attempted this and any major problems I may encounter? Thanks Guys
  17. front pic
  18. here are some pics, I was wrong it looks like the shee is quite alot lower, but like I said it still seems pretty good on the track and with a little tinkering will be an awesome setup.
  19. I took the SHEE down to a track and did a couple of jumps and it held up perfectly (i dont have any pics), I bent my axle on the big step down but the front end never bottomed out once, I do need to spend sometime setting up the shocks to make it a bit more comfy but other than that its an awesome setup Thanks Mullet Man
  20. With the banshee standing next to my yfz they are about the same height in front, I ride mx and will be testing the setup on the SHEE tomorrow and will let you guys know. I have ridden it everyday on some trails here and it really rides well and I dont have any clearnace issues on the trails either. I would say that the frame is about 10" off the ground in front. I am really happy with this setup.
  21. Thanks for the post I did mine yesterday, it took me about an hour, I used some washers as a spacer but I am getting some aluminum spacers made up
