we shot a bunch of idears back and forth a long time ago. the way the front tubes were redone was one of the things i remembered suggesting.. but i'm sure anyone with experience in fab work would have chozen the same route. it just works the best..after staring at the frame for hours, at least, it made the most sense to me..
and of course that being said i'm in no way taking credit for anything on that build its bad ass and you did an excellent job on it. so please dont take my comments the wrong way. enough he said she said bullshit around here. hell this thread hasn't even gotten any pics in it yet.
Well I'm glad that was cleared up, yes Cam and I have spoke a few times in regard to the hybrids and what we would do and wouldn't do- tweak this and tweak that- Carl and I never spoke about any of out conversations
Like stated, anyone with fabrications skills and a mind like Carl's would know what needs to be done to the front end in order to have the results we did!!!
As far as stretching the front end, is that still a option for you??

Na all that pipe and clamp is cheap and like stated the aluminum picks aren't necessary, I had access to all of it so why not ya know
You could always use some 2x8-10's
Something like this could easily be built all from 2x4's and 3/4 ply- get an idea on a size your looking for draw it up, put together a load list and get cracking!!

it seems that hjr has let several down lately, it sucks because he used to have a good reputation and has built some badass engines in the past.
Yea and for every bad experience or unhappy customer review that surfaces there are 10 that haven't bc people don't wanna come on the HQ and bash a site sponsors, they suck it up, sweep it under the rug and move on- which is respectable but ya only hurting the next guy that come on the HQ looking to get his motor done!!

I'm gonna keep this short and sweet, Kevin would never build a motor for me- There have been a lot of bad dealings lately, there has been numerous HJR motors around here and NONE of them were even remotely impressive
Sleeper06 has rebuilt a few of those and now they run proper!!
There are other site sponsors that I would choose before HJR, personally I run a passion motor, number 3 actually and I can't say enough about Jim's work- all of my engines continue to surprise people!!
Yes his turn around time sucks but I guarantee it to be worth the wait!!

Yep, I'm actually on my second set!!
But you'll be hard pressed to find a used set- I parted out my banshee with show chrome snipers and got 800.00 for them a few months ago!!Only other set I've seen surface for sale was a test set I believe!'
Be patient and order up a new set,I know the wait time will be a few months but you'll love them I guarantee it
