  1. I have seen dozens of tranny's foul up just after "service". I drove my 97 Expedition 4X4 238,000 miles on the stock tranny fluid, and never had an issue. I haven't had an automatic tranny "serviced" since. Sometimes I think it's just a ploy to keep tranny shops in business. I hope it's a quick fix for you. Brandon
  2. It is the throw out bearing. I also have a 95 GT, and I have gone through this exact issue when I upgraded my clutch. He needs to get an adjustable clutch quadrant (I think that is the technical name for it). Basically, it will make the clutch adjustable, so that you will be able to preload it just far enough to get the bearing to stop chirping. The stock piece is just that, a piece. Supposedly, if you pull up on the clutch pedal, it will make a slight adjustment, but it didn't do anything on mine. If he continues to use it the way it is, it will trash the bearing. Brandon
  3. lol Brandon
  4. I don't do too much stoplighting either. I don't modify my toys to impress other people. I modify them for the adrenaline rush that they give me, and personally I would much rather smash down an empty stretch of highway at 145+ than see how good I can get it to hook at a light ! Brandon
  5. You mean first on race day. I will forgive the typo. WARNING: It is now illegal to operate a Crapmaro without a class 2 mullet It's all in good fun. I really don't have anything against the Camaro. Their not my style, but serve their purpose. I'm just giving you a hard time. Oh, and my Stang in the pic above dyno'd 426hp/444ft/lbs, so I don't think the 300hp GT's are fast (I refuse to buy a 4.6L anyway), although they do have better #'s than the Hemi Charger, and are close to the GTO due to weight. Brandon
  6. I would venture to say that the actual car produced (if there is one) will be a whole lot different than the concept. If it isn't, the price will be 10-12k more than the tag on a Mustang GT, and will result in the same problem they had with the F-body. Not to mention the fact that GM is talking about bankruptcy right now. Oh yeah, and Camaro's suck ! Brandon
  7. Thanks for the compliment, and the tips. It does move pretty good. I haven't been able to run anybody on it yet, but my wife's cousin had a Raptor 660 that was bored and stroked to 700, high compression, etc., and my bike feels faster to me. Unfortunately, his bike got stollen the night before I brought mine home . If I can get it running good again, I'm going to take it down to a dyno here in town. It should be around 80-90hp I think. Thanks again. Brandon
  8. Roger that. Thanks again. Brandon
  9. I actually changed the plugs yesterday before I tried to start it, so they haven't been ran yet. I'll buy another set just in case though (I tried to start it for quite a while). When you guys clean your carbs, do you completely tear them down, and replace all the gaskets and everything, or what? I just want to ride this damn thing with some sort of reliability. It's a blast, but I've spent most of my time staring at it in the garage Brandon
  10. Cool, I'll empty the tank, flush the lines, and get some better oil at the bike shop. If that doesn't do the trick, I'll tear the carbs down. Thaks for the info guys. I've been looking for a place to get info for a while. I'm glad I stumbled upon this site (even though I don't have a Banshee). Brandon
  11. I must have grossly micalculated. So here is the question of the day. Could that alone be the problem? Brandon
  12. I was thinking I should rebuild the carbs. I was hoping I would find some quik things to try first. What kind of 2-stroke oil should I get? I have built a 2 into 1 that goes from the carbs, up under the seat to a single K&N since the pic was taken. Also, I think the quart/4 gallons is 64/1 if I remember right. What do you guys run? Brandon
  13. I have a 1986 Suzuki LT250R, but it has a 521.2cc 2-cylinder Rotax snowmobile motor in it. When I bought it, I would hit the primer 3 times, pull twice and it would fire right off, and idle. I rode it maybe 5 times with no issues. The bike sat for about a month without running, and all of a sudden, I couldn't get the thing to run. I would have to hold it full throttle, and pull it over almost a hundred times to get it to light off. Of course it wouldn't idle either, but as long as you kept it running, it was OK. I put fresh spark plugs in it, and it didn't help. Yesterday I couldn't get it to start at all. I am sure this is a fuel issue, so the question is, what would cause it? I have 93 octane mixed 4 gallons/1 quart with Wal-Mart 2-stroke motor oil. This is the first 2-stroke I have owned, so any info/tips would be appreciated. Brandon
