Hi. I am new here and just bought a 1998 Banshee. I was giving it the "once over" in the garage and decided to make sure the carbs were in sync. I looked in the breather box at the slides and there are sync'd, but I noticed the left one was a little higher then the right one. I marked the original location of the left adjuster on the throttle control swith, then I turned it to where they were even. The quad seemed to run the same but idled lower. I decide to watch the slides go up and down again and noticed that the left one goes up a little faster then the right one. For example, when they are both down they are dead even, when I push the throttle, when the left one gets to the top of the openeing, the right side is about 1/8-3/16 lower.
Anyway, is that normal. I know on a snowmobile like the Arctic cat zr800's the left side is jetted higher then the right because for some reason it runs cooler, but I don't know if the same principals go for quads and if the right and left side are a little different.
Lastly, I just got this quad. It is about 30 degrees here, and I havn't had it out but up and down the road real quick after about 1 minute warm up. Seems the it doesn't want to hit WOT, kind up seems like some ignition cut off is preventing it. Probably just the weather and lack of warm up time.
Thanks for your help
Dave
