Thanks!
  2. some of the trails are a little tough but you can just stay on the main trails which are wide and have small jumps, their actually real fun. Other than trails a big portion of the park is sand flats. Its about 2000 acres. my buddy is on the red 450r sick banshee and a yamaha r-1 powered yfz, i didnt get to see this run and im still kickin myself for missin it lol that yfz at idle extremely fast 450r (when i say extremely its probably not much to some of the things you guys see but for us that just mess around it hauls some butt) 4mil banshee very sweet a big thank you to pokeyz, i hope you dont mind me posting these if you see this
  3. Hey STLBILL can you post some pics you have, or a link to where you upload (album), i'd like to see them, see the normal folks who are always there struttin their stuff lol. I got a couple videos from this past weekend if you want to see? (thanks to pokeyz!)
  4. i go there just about every saturday, but that may change due to the lack of george washington's ($$)
  5. yeah i've been there, nothin to special just some old pics basically i think its www.stjoestpark.com
  6. I know a lot of guys drag banshee's out at st joe. This past weekend someone was taking video and I just wanted to see if that person or anyone on here knows where that video might be posted in the future. If anyone has any pics from there dragging send me a PM or add them here im starting a collection. Thanks for the help.
  7. well you guys probably dont care but i ended up getting an 05 450r with Black 2005 450r, HRC kit 11:1 weisco piston,K&N filter,Nerf bars,Moose grab bar,13 tooth front sproket,DID racing chain and Full White brothers mx4 exhaust and so now i guess im part of the "pussy" crowd :baseball_sleep: but i love this thing. price was right too and it runs perfect :baseball_innocent: some really really nice torque too. I'll get some pictures a little later if you guys want but if you dont no biggy :ninja: haha
  8. Thanks guys for all the responses, now im just going to wait a little longer to see what kinda deals pop up. Im still not sure which i want to get but you guys have really opened my eyes to the banshee. I love torque which is making me lean toward a nice 450 but the damn cost of a banshee used you cant beat. Im not really mechanically inclined but then again it will be my first thing to actually work on besides changing the oil in my car. On the other hand my dad is pretty damn good with motors she he's gonna teach me he said so it'll be a fun learning experience. Do many of you guys ride trails? I've searched and all i've found really is handling and just need to get good with the clutch/throttle and it'll be just fine. Any more suggestions are greatly appreciated.
  9. Alright this whole summer i've been working my ass off and have about $4500 and thats enough to get a quad. My friends have yfz, 450r's and a z400 and they do every type of riding from sand flats, drags, to tight rocky trails (if you have been to st. joe in missouri you would know what im talking about). Im wanting a 450 but with that kind of money i think i can pick up a used banshee for like 3 grand and sink another grand into it making it really nice. My one friend with a yfz said that you need to rebuild the top ends a lot on banshee's and i have been aware of this but how long inbetween rebuilds is it? i've heard around 2 years all depending on how much and how you ride it. Tell me what you guys/gals think and give me some advice (or smack me around :baseball_bat: ) Thanks -Ross

  23. Cotton (stan), i dont know you because i've only been on this site for a little while now, but man you are getting lots of support. Dont get yourself down man even though its a hard thing to go though no matter how crazy da bitch is. 25. we have several boats and waverunners and have had to do many things with fiberglass over the past few years. Its really not that hard to fiberglass, actually really simple as long as you have the right supply's you should be able to do it yourself and its pretty inexpensive, or i guess you could pay someone to do it but that requires some $. When you fiber glass i wouldnt do it over wood really (thats how our transom (sp) on our bassboat almost came off almost loosing the motor, instead use metal and a thick coat of fiberglassing, (fiberglass let it dry, sand it smooth and you should be done or if you want to add another coat just incase do the same thing) this is for if you pulled the boat out on land too.I dont know if this helped but eh o well good luck
