Yes the push rod with the phillips head. Should i not try taking it out with vise grips?

Is the bearing behind the adjuster screw? cause if not i didnt have one in there. Should the screw come right out mine is snagging on something, it looks bent a little?

This weekend my buddy was ridding my brand new built 4 mill 430. He says he pulled in the clutch while coasting down banshee hill at winchester when the clutch lever pulled back against him, he came to the bottom oil is burnt gray purple color clutch lever is stiff you can shift it thru all the gears but the clutch is stuck engaged. I took out the plates they looked good, didnt have the tools there to take the basket off. Does this sound like a welded bearing or something came off and jammed?
