  1. I just sold the 250R but still have the +5 chrome extended swingarm for sale if someone is interested. If I don't get any responses immediately I'll just list it on ebay. It is in great condition and is was only used for one weekend at the sand drags. I'm looking to get $200 plus shipping if someone is interested. PM me back or email me at page_motorsports@yahoo.com
  2. Price lowered, $2500 takes the quad, not a penny less.
  3. PM sent j28d. Also yours is a nice 250R wacko2000
  4. On my stock 2001 banshee I just bought new DID chain and sprocket set, stock gearing, and tightened the chain to around 3/4" with the suspension compressed as much as possible, but when the suspension is not compressed, (me not on the quad), it has around 1 1/4" slack in the center of the chain. Does this sound right? I thought there should be a bit more and chains are not cheap. Thanks in advance.
  5. It is at least a try, but sorry not interested. I would take a partial trade though...
  6. I have a 1988 Honda 250R that I would like to sell or trade if anyone is interested. This quad is far from stock, with all the modifications listed below. I have pics as well. I'm looking to get around $3000 or trade for another quad, sport bike, etc. I was just offered $2200 just for the engine but would like to sell the whole quad together. 10. I have a 1988 Donzi Regazza 21' I am trying to sell, it has a 350 Chevy engine with performance parts, OMC Cobra outdrive, and dual axle trailer. I am selling the boat to buy a banshee but if anyone is willing to swap, I'd be interested. The banshee must be newer, in excellent running condition, and has aftermarket parts such as pipes, filters, reeds, etc. If anyone wants pics, PM me and please PM your banshee's. Thanks
  11. How much are you asking for it? I picked one up that is similar for under $2000, am I close. I am interested for the right price.
  12. I am selling my 1998 Yamaha banshee. The plastic is yellow and grey, and the front fenders are cut. It has FMF Gold Series Fatty pipes and silencers, K&N Filter with Outerwears, has been rejetted, and the motor is .060 bored with wiseco pistons. The shocks are covered with outerwears as well, and has Douglas chrome wheels and Maxxis Razor tires. It also has durablue axles, a DG front bumper, and Renthal bars. The banshee is overall in decent condtion and is very fast, and without much riding time on a recently rebuilt motor. Reason for selling is I lost my job and need the money. I am located near Jonesville, MI zip code 49250 which is about an hour south of Lansing MI. I am asking $2400 and am firm on that price, if you have any questions email me at page454@hotmail.com or call me at (517) 320-0700, my name is Robert and if I don't answer, please leave me your name and number and I will get ahold of you asap.
  13. What always works for me is don't give the banshee any gas, don't even touch the throttle, With the choke pulled all the way out and gas on, starts first try, even with low compression. When I first got it, I gave it gas like I always have with a dirt bike and never could start it, I guess try it. Good Luck
  14. I just rebuilt my 98 banshee and I'm having a clutch problem. It is adjusted right, but sometimes the clutch works and sometimes it doesn't. When I am higher in the powerband the clutch lever feels good and works fine, but under lower rpm's the handle has nothing there, similar to pulling a handle without the cable hooked up. Does anyone know what causes this, and what to look for?
  15. Thanks for all the info you guys.
  16. I bought a 98 banshee about 2 weeks ago and 3 days later I blew it up. It is pretty much stock except for FMF pipes and mufflers, and k&n air filter with outerwear, as far as I know. The motor is .030 over right now. I was on a dirt road coming back from a friends house, and yeah I was running her pretty hard, but the engine seized up, which I later found to be a seized rod bearing on the left side. The piston on the same side doesn't look too good either, it starting melting and pieces of piston are melted into the head. The other side looks perfect, considering the engine was rebuilt this spring by the previous owner. The spark plug on this side, the electrode was pushed up into the plug, but both plugs are a chocolate brown color. So I tore the engine completely apart and the rod was seized to the crank, and pieces of the rod bearing are laying in the bottom of the case. I bought a used crank and rod assembly, new .060 wiseco pistons, rings, piston pins, clips, and needle bearings. Also a complete gasket kit and as soon as the pistons come in I'm sending the jugs out to be bored. The questions I have though are why did the piston begin to melt. I know the rod bearing probably seized because it just happens, but the melted piston and spark plug are bothering me. I don't want to rebuild the engine and have the same problem. And another thing, the spark plug wasn't tight in the head, like almost 2 turns out, would this have caused the piston to melt? I guess what I am saying is should I be worried, or does it sound like I was just riding a little 2 hard. She ran great the whole time I rode her so I'm just looking for your 2 cents. P.S. This is my first post so it's nice to meet you all. I am a automotive master technician and am very mechanically inclined, but am new to 2 strokes, but I love banshees. Any help is greatly appreciated.
