  1. I think they are known for 4 stroke stuff, but have heard good thinks about them with two stroke work as well.
  2. He would tell me I could pick up my motor at a certain time, then he would always have something come up, picking up the kids . . . two weeks later I got my motor. I've heard Kenz cycle is really good. I usually go to Richards ATV/MX on Peoria and 43 ave for all my riding needs never had any motor work done by them though AZshee
  3. I'm in Goodyear, I had my motor done by Charlie Ohton and would not recommend him even though I was happy with the power gains, he was a pain to work with, never had it done when he said he would. A friend of mine had a 370 log rod done by D&M it was a good motor he really liked working with Doug.
  4. Fun, I'm here in AZ also, Which shop are you looking at using for the work? I think if your only doing the top end do it yourself. I just took my motor and had it done before this season, I had them weld the crank, fresh top end, porting and head mods. Last trip the head gasket failed and the motor overheated, took the top end apart and noticed the port work was different between cylinders, it looked like only one cylinder was ported. I wish I would of done all the work myself that way I would have been able to question the difference in the port work before the motor was put back together. Azshee
  5. Stock! I should have some pics up here tonight Thanks
  6. a friend, has a chrome Laeger six inch extended swing arm for a banshee he would like to sell, it has the carrier and he will also include an extended brake line. asking $400 or best offer. I will get a picture if your interested, please reply or send a pm so I can put you in touch with the seller. Thanks azshee
  7. I'm not sure what the details are on the porting I told him I wanted a dune port and he asked some ?'s and went from there, I know he raised the roof on the intakes cleaned out the transfers he did alot of head work as well he shaved .060 off and reshaped the chambers. He focused on more torque and flattend out the power band now it feels more like my friends 370 long rod motor. Our port work is probably different because he told me he sets them up different depending on the riders weight. I wouldn't put in the 360 until you do a plug chop, Have you done a plug chop? here is my reasoning you were at 330 before your port work, I was only at 290 before my port work, I was still running a pro flow filter in the airbox so I jumped 7 sizes after the port work and k&n's, (2 sizes for k&n's, 5 for porting), the point is if you already had the k&n's at 330 then your going 5 sizes bigger after the port work leaving you at 380. How much did you go up when you put the reeds on? Are you still running the stock needle? Well we will be on the flats behind vendor row, or in the trees where sand highway heads to olds. send me a message if your going to be there we can come up with a time to meet at the hill. 1azshee
  8. The 360 mains did the trick, the bike is running awsome. I did the plug chop and it looks like its still a little rich, but its really close. I will probably try 350's once I run it at the dunes and see how it acts on the hill. Thanks for the help 1azshee
  9. You are a winner Charlie Ohton is correct, he is impossible to get a hold of, I went to the Planet Sand Drags this weekend, knowing he would be there and he basically blew me off wouldn't talk to me at all . I've given up on getting him to help me, BHQ has plenty of helpfull people we should be able to figure it out. I've got some jets now I just need some time to try them out, It will be some time this week. Our first trip to glamis is going to be Oct 21, so I have a few weeks to get it tuned and ready for the hill. What did you end up using for your mains (380 still)? I will let you know what I end up finding. Whens your next trip to glamis? would like to be able to compare my port work against another ported shee. Oh yeah what is your sprocket setup? Thanks for the info sucks to hear someone else has been stuck in the same situation, AZshee
  10. 2003LimitedBanshee It's been around 100 Deg F, How much does temps factor in when jetting? Should I change my jetting from summer (100+ deg) to winter (70-80 deg even colder when riding Glamis at night)? Loco You probably right and It's to rich but I will take the advise of 2003LimitedBanshee and go up one size first (cheap insurance) the I can get a better feel where I'm at. Thanks for the help Azshee
  11. bigboybanshee, New carbs are on the list but for now I have to stick with the stockers and the builder just suggested the setup. I haven't been able to get the builder to call me back to talk about whats going on. loco, I will be doing a plug check this weekend I wanted to get some time on the motor before I went and ran wide open, the ones that are in there looked pretty black. Thanks for the help I will do a plug check and try 360 mains this weekend. Azshee
  12. Here is the problem, from quarter throttle to around half throttle it pulls like a ported banshee should, but from around half to full throttle it is real flat not much left. I wolud like to get your opinions and solve this problem, could it be my pipes? jetting? reeds? Whats your thoughts. Setup: just had my motor rebuilt and ported by a well know builder here in AZ, he trued and welded the crank, new top end, re-shaped and milled the stock head, and dune port. advanced the timing 4 deg. builder told me to setup my stock carbs with #30 pilot, #380 mains and needle clip set on second clip from the tapered side, reeds are stock and I'm running the toomey t4 pipes, 13/43 gearing. Air cleaners are clamp on K&N no airbox. mix is 32:1. Elevation in AZ is around 1000 ft do 90% of my riding at Glamis. Thanks in advance AZshee
