  1. Does anybody have an idea?
  2. The clutch started slipping really bad lately and shifting was getting harder. I removed the clutch cover today and found a bent and battered flat washer and a broken snap ring. I haven't pulled the clutch yet, I'm going to start back on it tommorow. This is the first time I've been in here on a banshee, Can someone give me an idea where these came from and what other damage I might have. Thanks
  3. Just wanted to know how you liked your KG clutch, I've got to have a clutch and not sure which one to buy. Thanks
  4. Ok Heres the update. Ended up at 220 mains but still not running right. Now it seems to have a flutter throughout the powerband. Boggs at low end, Plugs are light brown. Someone suggested new reeds. How do you know if you need them? I have an aftermarket reed system, it has 36A stamped on the side. Is that a Rad Valve? What reeds will work ? which are the best? Please Help, I've got the 2 stroke blues.
  5. I checked everything I could today. Then started it up and had no noise but it wouldnt idle, turns out it was low of fuel. Any possibility running low of fuel could cause a noise like that. I know it sounds retarted but I'm new with these animals. I can build a Chevy 350 in the dark, rebuild a fourstroke bike and tune my YZ dirt bike but this Banshee is new territory. Thanks
  6. While Riding my Shee today I heard a weird noise. Hard to explain but kind of like a loud clicking like sticking something in a running fan. I shut it down. Then started it back up and had no noise at all. I rode it back to the garage let it idle and revved it with no noise. Didn't really sound like major motor damage top or bottom end but it was something serious. What does water pump impeller damage sound like. Any Ideas? THANKS
  7. Running a" modified" air box lid- no vent tube, cut out in front, holes drilled in back.
  8. I just bought a 98 banshee. Its running Dyno-Port 2 into 1 exhaust and has a pro-flow filter kit. That's the only mods that I know of. It boggs before it hits the power band and misses at WOT. Im going to try rejetting. Its got 180 main jets. I dont understand why he was running a smaller jet than stock, maybe somebody can tell me. What size mains should I start with? Has anyone tried the moose rebuild kits for the carbs? Give me some ideas! I'm about 1200 feet above sea level in North AL.
