  1. I just dealt with the same problem. Overflow leaking usually means the engine is getting too hot. When warming up the engine, rev it to keep the fuel burning and when taking a break, don't let the engine sit on at all. Try to keep your engine cool, that's all I can say. I may be wrong on this one and I sure don't know as much about the Banshee as the Legends on this site, but maybe my suggestion will point you in the right direction. Good luck.
  2. Yeah I think mine is off too. It's 1:20 PM right now, let's see what the thread says...
  3. Thanks A LOT guys, I appreciate the consideration. I think I've figured it out now, though. As for the 6-year-no-rebuild, believe it or not the last time the compression was checked (2 weeks ago) it was mint. I've babied the thing for the years that I have had it and it doesn't need a rebuild believe it or not. As for the rattle, I took care of the kick-start rattle years ago with a zip-tie loop. Apparently it IS a Banshee thing! I would suggest that every do this; just loop a zip-tie around the frame long enough to hold the starter in place. I really don't know what the other rattle is. Ellison445 said what my problem is right there and I realized that about 30 minutes ago. I fouled the plugs because I didn't revv it enough when I was warming it up. When I was letting it idle (which I will never do again) only because I wanted to listen to the rattle, I let it sit too long. I'm assuming the plugs are fouled and aren't allowing it to burn off the fuel like it should. Does my diagnosis sound right? It makes sense to me and my mechanic agreed. Thanks again for all the help guys.
  4. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  5. I hate to admit it, but I've been having some troubles with my deathbed and I know you guys are the ones to ask about it. It's a 99, never been rebuilt (I know that sounds crazy) but it doesn't have a ton of hours on it and hasn't been hammered. I just put some Fatty's on there and it doesn't seem to be getting the power that it should, among other problems. At the beginning of the summer, I had trouble with the radiator and it would pour coolant out of the overflow if I let it idle or was riding for a little while. The problem seemed to work itself out after a little while and after fluids were checked and such. Two rides ago, about a week ago, the thing was running mint, I could stay in the powerband for forever and wind through the gears without any delay or bogging down. I took it out again yesterday, and from the second I put it into first gear, it felt groggy. I started hearing a rattling that seemed to come from the new Fatty's and would get louder the harder I revved it and would stop when I put pressure on the pipes. I kept riding and tried to ignore the rattle. One of the times that I stopped it to sit and listen to the rattle, it started leaking the coolant again. This time it was pretty bad. It started revving really high, and then just puked coolant ALL over the Fatty's and I immediately shut it off. I let it sit for a little while and started it back up about 15 minutes later. Here is where the real trouble started. When I put it into first, there was NO power. It would bog down all through every gear, and I mean every gear. The only time it wouldn't bog down was when I was at the top of the gear and was winding on it. At that point it would immediately open up and take off, but getting to that point felt absolutely awful. I don't understand it, I've had the coolant/overflow problem all summer and multiple trips to the cycle mechanic have resulted in no conclusions; they say it's fine. What does this sound like to you guys?? PLEASE give some advise, any advise, just please don't tear me or my bike apart, it's hard enough as it is. Do I need a new rebuild, (I would think that would be the case only if there was no power at all, but shee's putting out power but at the wrong time) a new rejetting like they had jetted it too thin, radiator tweaking or thermostat? Any ideas?
  6. Redcell is the standup guy here. Now that's being a good and concerned fellow BansheeHQ member. That's what I love about this site. Well, that and the fact that there aren't hundreds of random people on here just waiting to start shit with Banshee owners. Standing ovation for Redcell if he can help take care of this guy's problem even if it wasn't Red's problem at all.
  7. Legal issues hm? Couldn't have anything to do with what that icon is suggesting right? lol
