SWAT Team Shoots Armed Fla. 8th-Grader
yammerhammer98 replied to Robert's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I'm with txblueshee: What the hell is wrong with these kids? When I was growing up, every house I walked into had at least 3 or 4 rifles or shotguns in a cabinet in the living room, and we all learned how to safely handle one about the same time as we learned how to handle our dicks. Nobody got shot, nobody took 'em to school, and nobody bitched about gun control. We've gone a long way down the wrong road in the last 25 years. -
Hey MotulMonsta, My Motion Pro chain breaker broke the first time I used it. I sent an E-mail to the Customer Service Department and they sent me a replacement part the next day. Good Product: Motorex makes a great chain wax. Let it dry overnight and it doesn't fling off. Makes the chain look a little "milky white", but it works great on my sportbike and dirt bikes. Bad Product: UM skid plate bolt holes didn't line up worth a damn, but I "pursuaded" it with a heavy brass hammer, and now I like how it fits. One question: Why don't they supply the bolts and nuts? Order a brand new part and you have to make a trip to the hardware store. Piss poor idea.

Welp, bought a beat machine

409Banshee, How much is your time/physical effort/phychological well-being worth? A few months ago I picked up a stock swingarm with very good bearings on FleaBay for $50, including shipping. You might be better off tossing it. -
Removed TORS: Now won't Choke?!

Did you check the small hose that connects the carbs. I mistakenly left that hose disconnected and my bike wouldn't start unless I primed it with a few drops of fuel directly into the plug hole or starting ether. It also ran like crap with a big air hole in each carb! Reconnected the hose and now it always starts on the first or second kick, hot or cold. -
Yeah, I was pretty disappointed with the fit too. I ended up adding some thin strips of Velcro along the sides and it seems to be sealing better. If anyone is looking at buying one of these things, look elsewhere.

I've ridden dirt bikes for almost 40 years (keep the jokes to yourself), and I never thought I would ever want a 4 stroke. After riding some newer 4 stroke MX bikes, I eventually bought a well-built YZ400F. 4 strokes are so much easier to ride, and are much more forgiving of mistakes due to the wide powerband. All the manufacturers have figured out how to build high-performance 4 stroke engines. I never really wanted a quad until I rode a friend's 300EX at Pismo a few years ago. Plenty fast enough for an "experienced" beginner, but very easy to learn on. Of course, the year-round green sticker is also a plus. Of course, now I'm hooked on the dunes and own a Banshee, but I wouldn't recommend one for a beginner, especially for trailriding. A Honda 400EX or a Suzuki/Kawasaki 400 would be a much better choice, IMO.

QUOTE(brock_fuzzy_69 @ Jan 2 2006, 07:40 PM) scarier yet is that dumbcock is about 45 minutes away from me Hey brock-fuzzy-69, would you buy anything off somebody from Streator? Are you surprised that he doesn't know what he is talking about? I used to live in Ottawa, IL and even us "country hicks" made fun of people from Streator!

How about the headline in the "Other Science" section: 'Older elephants smell sexier' I guess dried elephant shit smells better after it ages awhile.

Ol' Tookie took four lives

I can't take credit for writing it, but it definitely captured the "Spirit of the Season". -

Ol' Tookie took four lives
yammerhammer98 replied to Blue Duece's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Twas the night before Christmas and all through San Quentin, the Crips were protesting, and liberals were ventin'. The cyanide hung by the chamber with care, in hopes that the reaper soon would be there. The inmates were nestled all snug in their bed ; except for Old Tookie, who soon would be dead. And me with my beer mug, dressed warm in my flannel, had curled up to watch it, on the Fox News Channel. I set up my TIVO to record the news station, and thoroughly loved the momentous occasion. It seemed lady justice had gotten her way, and that there would be one less savage today. When outside the jail there arose such a clatter, the cameras had turned to see what was the matter. When what to my civilized eyes did appear, but a lineup of actors, all liberal, half queer. The misguided freaks drew some curious looks, as they proclaimed his innocence; clutching his books. The tears then flew out from Sarandon's eyes, as she nominated him again for the Nobel Peace Prize. The actors were tethered to an ACLU sleigh, all towing the line of the urban decay. On Asner, on Penn, on liberal cop-haters, On Sharpton, on Jesse and other race-baiters. Then at 12:01 all curled up like a beetle, Tookie cried like a bitch as they gave him the needle. When up from the actors there arose such a cry, they had failed in their mission, and Tookie DID DIE !! I heard Bill O'Reilly say, as I turned out my light, Merry Christmas to all ... there was justice tonight !! -

- Mind if I sit here beside you until it's safe to go back to where I farted? - Are you really drunk, or is that a lazy eye? -
I like the PRM bumper. Paid about $70.

Fireman-hott, Sorry to hear about your personal tragedy; nobody should have to go through something like that. I've had a couple of close friends murdered in the past, and I'll admit that eye-for-an-eye retribution probably would have made me feel better at the time. The prick that murdered my high school buddy only served 4 f*cking years! I just think serious criminals (like murderers, armed robbers, child rapists, etc.)should spend the rest of their lives in a real prison, like the ones you see in third-world countries. Fearing for their lives from other inmates, eating roach infested food, bathing in their own piss, etc. That's real punishment. Believe me, I won't cry any tears when Tookie bites the dust. I just have a problem with state sanctioned executions, especially when the rest of the criminal justice system is so lenient on these turds of society. Just my opinion. Like assholes, everybody has one! -

I personally don't agree with the death penalty for simple moral reasons, but I also think that the prison system has become way too comfortable for the real criminals. The worst ones need to be stuck in a box and studied like lab rats, just so we can get some idea how to stop people like them from getting away with their crimes. Tookie Williams was found guilty for murdering 4 innocent people. 'Nuff said. Stick him in a dark hole for the rest of his life, along with the rest of his scumbag buddies. A listener called into a Sacramento radio station last week, saying that he was a LA police officer in the '70's and '80's. He said that Tookie Williams was the prime suspect in at least 15 other murders, but that they could never develop the evidence to indict him. I know the LAPD isn't the most reliable bunch, but it sounds to me like we should all be happy he is behind bars. I say leave him there for good. -
Well, obviously I don't know squat. I showed up yesterday to play ride and watch some MX, but, NO RACE! I guess they switched the event to Club Moto at the last minute. Who knows why? Had a great day of riding anyway. Plenty of water and mudholes for shits and giggles, and NO DUST!

help me not smell like 2stroke
yammerhammer98 replied to dadudeinbiloxi's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Obviously I was just being a smart-ass. I washed the 'Shee last night when I got back from riding, and started it front of the garage to dry it off. The late evening breeze took that wonderful scent through the whole house. I love the smell of Bel-Ray in the morning! Banchetta had it right: Aftermarket pipes and synthetic oil @ 40:1 or better would make a big difference in the amount of smoke. -
Who said there is no such thing as a stupid question?

help me not smell like 2stroke
yammerhammer98 replied to dadudeinbiloxi's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
The smell of 2-stroke oil is the best reason to run in second place! Castor bean oil and 100 octane race fuel is kinda like Old Spice; a little outdated, but better than smellin' like a French whore. I agree with the rest of the gang. If you don't like the smell of 2-stroke oil, you're probably in the wrong sport. -
As I said, I don't race (too old and fat!), but it looks like a nice, well-maintained track. When they ran a couple of weeks ago, they had 19 classes of bikes, including everything from kids to Pros, with two 4-Lap motos each. They had all the quads run together (Beginner, Novice and Intermediate) in the same moto. If they had more entrants, they would definitely split those up. Don't know about trophies and such, but at least its a real race! With all the rain we're getting, it should be nice and sloppy!

The terrain is a lot like Carnegie, but a lot smaller park, with much smaller hills. Less crowded with a much more relaxed "Police Presence" though.
-
LaGrange is a state OHV park, about an hour east of Modesto. A little small, but a nice MX track. Check out the Mutant Motorsports website for details. Schedule for this month: Dec. 3-4 LaGrange Dec. 10-11 Carnegie Dec. 17-18 Club Moto (Livermore)

I bought the full kit from Magic Racing a few weeks ago. Easy to install and it works great. Not quite as high tech as the T.M. Designworks stuff, but a lot cheaper and just as functional.
-
Can't make it tomorrow; too many home projects going on this weekend. The rain will definitely help. A bunch of us were riding at LaGrange last weekend and the dust at the end of the day nearly blocked out the sun! Almost looked like dusk @ 4:00 PM. Mutant MX is racing at LaGrange next weekend. I know they could use some fast quads to fill out their race program. I don't race but my friends do. Any interest?
