  1. That is a pic of one of my bikes. Those were 18" fast trekker blems that I bought for 15$ a piece and already had the wheels for another project. They were fun to play on and didnt last long and I later switched them out for some razr2's back when they were still a decent price.

If you still have your oem wheels, I would look for something to fit them. 22's in the front and 22 or 20's in the rear. I really like the 22's in the front, my raptor is setup like that and really works great.

  2. It looks a bit low in the last picture.

I am just throwing this out there but, what I had was an adjustable strut.

you could raise it and lower it to where it needed to be.

It was ideal for finding that happy medium for where it was stable, felt comfortable and would launch really well.

mine wound up with just a little bit of downward angle on it where it was not quite parallel with the ground.

  3. The bike throwing riders has nothing to do with the motor or the frame.

There shouldn't be any twisting of the frame in asphalt drag racing.

I can see maybe how I might twist a frame landing off the jumps, but even that is a stretch.

it will definately have something to do with the setup.

and if you are getting traction and putting out some decent power, there will be a little bit of flexin' goin on.

I would suggest extra motor mounts & solid struts underneath the engine to keep it from moving around in the frame and throwing chains.

  4. does a coolhead for stock cylinders fit a 68mm cub cyl, with the proper domes?

how will a 68mm cub 4mil compare to my fast dune port 4mil?

I couldn't find any info on the cyl head.

how is your dune port set up?

i had 35 pwks and shearers on mine and my cub is a little different ball game.

powerband comes on more violent, more mid and top end especially on longer runs.....

cub is just more of a handfull in anything technical

both motors are fun as hell to ride.....

  5. Anybody know how 22/11/8 10paddle rippers would work on a stock frame +6 swing arm 421 cub, drag ported. Would they perform well, stand up or spinn like crazy? I don't really care for doing big wheelies, but don't mind carrying the front a litttle. Just want something that will hookup descent with a little spin, but not blowing the tires off of it like I do now with knobbies on dirt.

i put some 12 pad rippers on mine, about the same set up you have, and had the headlights pointed toward the sky often....

i tried some 11 pad extremes in a 72ish roll out and they were about perfect.......

  6. Hey everyone! I'm currently running 15/41 gearing and honestly I haven't seen any changes when I went up a tooth on the front sprocket so what should I do put the 14/41 back or go 15/42 like one tooth up on the back what will I achieve this way. I have plenty of acceleration I want a bit more top speed without sacrificing much bottom. 20'' rear tires

Also I topped out at 85.6 Mp/h (137.8 km/h) According to my trail tech vapor. Is that good? How can I get a bit more I wanna be able to do like 88, 89

+2 Timing (not sure maybe on 0 i asked for +4 but the guy said he used the safe way) (but I have installed an adjustable timing plate) Help please should I double check and make it +4 what good will it do?

    Thanks In advance

bigger front sprocket + smaller rear sprocket will give you more top end speed and your engine will have to work harder to get it there.

smaller front sprocket + bigger rear sprocket will give you less top end and let your engine not work as hard to get it there.

the trick is finding how tall a gear your bike will pull on given track conditions...... :)

I think I would actually wear one of these shirts in a 2X

  8. Whats the main gains/differences between race gas over pump. Ik u get more conpression, timing, and horsepower Ive heard u should not evn run the cub if its not on race gas.

you can run pump gas in your cub, wont be as snappy in deep sand or whatnot

race gas will wake it up a good bit, or even better try some methanol...

depending on what you want to do with your cub, keep in mind a lot of timing and compression will make it run a lot warmer too.

  9. well i think i finally found a supply of alky i called days auto south of kc he said he sales by the gal... thinking of making the switch im running 35mm airstrikers will this carb be ok to run on the stock stroke dune port motor? ill be having domes cut for the alky and have to have the carbs set up for it, as i know Nothing about alky. just looking for all around info... heres what i have right now in pieces for a motor... dune port by fast stock cylinder/stroke bike , hot rods crank, +4 timing , 20cc domes , at t5s , and will have a 1-5 redline duneable

so will 35 airstrikers be a good carb to have set up for alky , or should i sell these and find a different set of carbs.

I know ill need custom cut domes... what else

id keep those 35's, have jeffrey set em up for your methanoll and get rid of those t-5's for some CPIs.

that should be a fun little motor on alcohol....

i had pretty much same motor on gas with 33's and cpis and it ran very well.

a pingle might not be a bad idea and drill out the vent in your gas cap as well.

no downsides to using methanol IMO.

if you keep up with your maintenance, purging any remainding methanol iside your engine is just one more maintenance item.
