  1. Try giving Trick Racing a call. They build some of the fastest street banshee motors around. Go with lots of swingarm at least 6". BIG PORT & POLISH.Strut bike. You can make your own struts that come on & off or buy them aftermarket. There has been alot of growing interest in the NW with banshee drag strip racing. We have about 8-10 regular circuit racers that race in the same NHRA class as the stock street bikes. trickracing1.com
  2. I've been a member for about 2 years. These guys know there stuff. AAAA++++
  3. You shouldent' have any problem with cooling on the RZ, I think most of the guy's would agree that the water jackets may be even bigger than the COOL HEAD.If your head has been shaved and you havent' been ported & polished you really should be running a good race gas(110).The bigger your port & polish the less octane required. Sounds strange buy it's true had it happen to me . Please just buy a set of stock banshee 26mm carbs on Ebay. Run them fat like 34-- 300. Then you can eliminate any questions on carbs, i've heard more guys have problems trying to just get the rd/rz carbs to work right , save yourself headaches and time go with somthing that is easy to figure out.
  4. I agree with Broke you want to keep the rest of the tranny it's better than the SHEE, just the actual gears.I don't find that there is a problem with the gearing when you are riding normaly but when from a dead stop draging a hill or coming out of a steep tree shot it's a killer.I tried posting pics of the exhuast & keep getting errors so E-mail me & i'll send them to you.( I made my flanges out of alum. you may want to try them out of steel it may really drop the price)
  5. I got all the material for my exhaust flanges and paid a machinist $75 to weld them and machine them.( E-mail me & I can give you some pics). You dont have to make them but you would have to cut the flanges off of your pipes and do some welding on them.My other suggestion is that you change theTranny,The gears are just to far apart unless your runnig a 100 H.P.The sprocket helps but it's the space between them not there hight.Try finding a local banshee asphault drag shop, alot of the high H.P. banshees run the trannys they probably will trade you (mine did). MAKE SURE ALL YOUR ELECTONICS WORK ON THE BIKE the stock banshee coil is the only banshee part you can use. Hope some of this info helps . It's more work than you think.
