I have T-5's and a uni air filter with holes drilled in the airbox with the uni pods in it and the lid is still on. Cool head with 18 cc domes ( I thought they were 16 cc but they are 18 cc) race gas only . Weisco pistons. Stock reeds.

I have contacted him and I have decided to get it done. I just have to balance between riding and shutting it down to take it apart. will hopefully get that done and add some v-force reeds at the same time. I am thinking it will be like a totally different quad.

Sorry this may seem like a dumb question but I am curious to what a lightened flywheel and advancing the timing +4 will do. I thought that advancing timing would give more top end and take away from the bottom. Does lightening the flywheel just help rev quicker? I am looking for more bottom for woods and tight trail riding. Wouldn't a heavier flywheel help with the tight stuff and the only reason I got that impression is because they sell heavier flywheels for dirt bikes that MX race and need more low excelleration at least that is the way I understood it? I am not doubting anyone at all because I read that alot of people have done this mod and love it. I just really don't understand alot about those things.

Thanks alot for all the info. I will start with getting my clutch taken care of then maybe try to get the domes changed and get some reed cages and the filter kit. I would like to get away from having to run race gas all the time anyway.

I think the T5's might be a little more top for the trails but they were on it when I bought it so I really don't have anything to compare them to.I was definately thinking about a 2 into 1 carb and another air cleaner. What pipes is the best for all around? This thing has a wicked hit but it seems to all be on top.

Hey guys how are you? I am new here and also just purchased my first banshee. It is a 1997 with toomey T5 pipes, cool head w/ 16cc domes, weisco pistons .020 over, and a uni air filter. It also has a jet kit.Reeds and everything else is stock. I was wondering what mods, even if it means changing the things already done would be the best to do. I mostly trail ride and hill climb in the woods but I like to fly on flat ground whenever I can.I would like to just do bolt ons first and not crack open the motor untill it needs freshened up.I also am going to need a cluch basket and pressure plate because mine is pretty worn.Thanks for any info.
