  1. 68mm Cub, 4mm stroker, cool heads, 35mm PWKs, vforce reeds, timimg plate set to 5 degrees Dan got back to me today about this setup and recommended: 42 or 45 pilots, 158 mains, clip in the middle of the needle, 2 turns out on the air mixture. He also said to never go more than 2 1/2 turns out on the air mix. Haven't tired it yet but will post the results if anyone is interested.
  2. It was 80+ degrees a couple of days ago and only about 70 today. We dropped back to the 48s and still running the 160 mains. Even moved the needle clip to the 2nd position from the top. Nothing seems to work. Think the mains are too big? We're even getting too much blue smoke out of it which I think means it's too rich, right? Checked the compression and it's 138 on both cylinders.
  3. Does anybody have a running Cub with these parts? 68mm Cub, 4mm stroker, cool heads, 35mm PWKs, vforce reeds, timimg plate set to 5 degrees We're at 300 ft above sea level. We can't get this thing to idle. We've got 160 mains, 55 pilots in it right now. Does anybody have settings that will work? What about the needle? Size of pilots and mains? Starting point on the mixture screws?
