  2. so i ran the 35mm's at the dunes this weekend - SUPER FAST! i started with the 165 main - ended up with 2 k & N air filters, put on 35mm intake manifolds....the trinity pipes work great, sound good too - i may try a one step larger jet this weekend - I will let you all know, but super happy with the set up - just need to make the twist throttle work now -
  3. Howdy, i have an 02 with stock motor - trinity stage 4 pipes and silencers, 2-1 k & n, no lid or snorkel on the airbox - i got the carbs keihin pwk 35mm from my brother and he kept the jets for his banshee with a cheetah head (140s) - any idea jet size for those carbs with my setup? i am shooting in the dark and bought 160s and 170s to start with - thanks, jOeb http://www.joebaker.net

  6. Thanks for all the great ideas for places to ride as we drive cross country. Directions and pictures are so great and much appreciated. Keep the locations coming. We are likely to drive I90 or 80. Any places in South Dakota? Michigan? Thanks.
  7. my wife and i just got 2 new banshees - we are driving cross country june 25th with quads on a trailer - any suggestions on where to stop to ride - we want to take a northern route to keep the dog cool - connecticut to california - let us know - jOeb
  8. i went out and did the same thing - same result - i have a feeling i am on my way to the shop for a rebuilt shock - thinking the seals went bad, from sitting for years - where and how much was the new shock?
  9. we are talking about both compression and rebound. the compression is very soft, easy to push down for the first 5 inches, and rebound back from those 5 inches is quick with a KLONK sound, if i push it down all the way then there is dampening - any ideas?
  10. OK - i am new to the banshee - i just picked up an '02 banshee yesterday that is in perfect shape - but, it is not running right - it has sat for 3 years in a heated garage - it is hard to start - barely idles if at all, best when choke is ON . when i get it going, if i really get on it, bot cylinders fire and the power is strong - but if i let of, or try to slow to below powerband it bogs, then dies, maybe a backfire first - any great ideas as to a remedy? one last thing, when i tested it,, he said the gas was old, so i drained the gas, put in fresh mixed at 32:1 - PLEASE HELP - really want to ride it! jOEb in CT -
  11. i just picked up an 02' banshee, barely used. it has sat in a garage from march 2002 until yesterday, may 2005 - i picked it up for a good price...but, it is not running right. my questing here is that when i push down on the rear end, for the first 3 - 5 inches the only stiffness i feel is the coil on the shock - it's like there is no air or oil in the shock - it springs back up really quick, unless i put all my weight on it, then there is some dampening - any ideas, maybe it is supposed to be like this, but it sure feels soft...it really bounces when i am kicking it over to start - anyhelp would be great - i am just getting into this! jOeb
