-

-
It would be an 07 or POSSIBLY 06 and what does the cam mod do exactly?
-
what kind of mods we talking? would this include any kind of engine work? don't really gona have to much money right away after buying one and more money into an engine i just bought is not really on my list.
-
haha that blows, but yea thanks for all the posts. A lot of the guys i ride with are saying the same thing "wait a year or two and let them get the kinks out." Ok well I'm not waiting a year let alone 2. I'm getting a bike now. I think I'm going to go with yfz or the trx.

Why do you and alot of people i've been talking to feel this way about the 450r ? lol and yes i do agree with u about the kawi. Also that can-am is a nice piece of work. I think their new frame idea is hot specially since alot of their older bikes were known for the cracked frames.

My cousin and brother both have the honda and i am VERY impressed. Then two of my buddies have the yzf's and well 1 of them i guess is a dud? and the other ran really nice. I very fond of the honda but with the type of rideing i do the kawasaki is looking promising with reverse and speed.

Any read anything about this bike or even own one? I know they are available to buy.. well around me but im wondering how they ride and if they keep up with the other 450's out manufactured by other companies.

Sorry to hear your bad news, i just rebuilt my whole engine once this past summer and now i have to put a new top end on it because my asshole step dad wanted to half ass it and not do it right. I recommend taking it to the shop and getting it done like one of the guys above said. They will tare it down and tell you the damage / costs. Or if you know someone who could guide you, you could do it yourself and have a good learning experience.

Good advice Nah, the thing with him (i don't like him so no offense taken) is he use to race 2stroke dirt bikes and he was the mechanic of his sons bikes and he has this whole "know it all" attitude but uh thanks for your advice and if anyone else whats to throw in their opinion it will be greatly appreciated.

Ok so im not a pro at this stuff so here i am. My bro took my two jugs to a shop to get bored and fixed to save me the troubles of buying two new ones which can be rathy pricey. They said they will have to go 50 over and will give me the works and there is plenty left to work with. My mom's husband is telling me you have to re-sleeve them after you bore them with nikisl(spelling?) which can be $100 a sleeve because the jugs are aluminum and aluminum jugs with aluminum pistons = no go. Anyone who has done this or knows about it please help me so i can know for sure. This will be the second time i've done this in 8 months and the first time was done wrong because of the idiot husband giving me bad advice so im kinda leaning towards him being wrong again.

Yea i'm gona say stock carbs for this not sure really. Like i said i am no expert but i can find out and thanks for help. Yea thats a good idea. Since its kinda late ill probably goto bed here shortly and wake up early to look at it since i am almost certain is a air leak or on those lines. Thanks EDIT: By caps you mean caps on the carbs right? :x

Yes, Yes, and..... rofl yes I'm thinking maybe its running to lean but still if anyone knows or any ideas i do appreciate it!

Before i get started i just wanna say this bike is my first 2-stroke quad ever and i'm not a pro at it so any help is appreciated. I just rebuilt my 93 shee new crank, clutch, pistons, jugs, gaskets...everything. I get it all done but then it won't run. So my brother and i clean out the carbs (boy were they dirty) one at a time so we don't get anything mixed up between the two. Put them back on and still nothing. Today we went out and got some new spark plugs and fresh gas/oil. I mixed the gas at a 36;1 ratio (what do you guys run?) and tried to start it. Final solution step dad said was try a little either. It started up and ran for a while but then began 2 back fire a little bit and sparks came out of the right exhaust. The bike will not start cold has to use a tad bit of either which i do not like doing because obviously its now how its suppose to be running, i don't wanna rely on it i want it fixed right know what i mean? Anyways once the bike is warmed up and let sit for say 5 minutes she will start up 2nd or 2rd kick but still backfires. I decided to take it for a spin up the street (popping all the way) and came back. My brother said that the popping was not good and to let it sit for now since he had to run. I have asked a few friends and have gotten responses such as "running to lean" the air and gas ratio, "holes or air leak" and even "wrong size jets" . When i first got this bike (before it got blown up) it ran fine so im assuming the jet size is right but maybe failing do to something i did wrong... carbs.... running to lean.... what ?!?!

ibuypower.com have premades already built and allow you to modify/upgrade certain things that boost the performance and the price obviously If you know someone tho you could always get them to build you one by buying parts from newegg.com or tigerdirect.com thats pretty cheap as well but ibuypower builds it for you all you need is to select which parts you want ^^

http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=68469 Second reply to this post by Nomad was pretty good. Some of the places he listed are well known and very fun to ride now and again.
