does 260 mains sound right?

Hey guys I have a question. My buddy brought over his 2001 banshee for me to look at ,it has fmf pipes and 260 mains and stock pilot. He says after he put the pipes on it ran ok then he cleaned the carbs and now it runs like crap. The machine will sit and idle fine but once you give it gas it over fuels itself because the plugs are soaked. already drained fuel and put fresh in, also changed plugs. Can the tors or some other elec. component cause this but we checked the spark and it looks good. any input would help?
