heres a good setup for a 350 that runs awesome for the dunes and has all around killer power for play racing up hills :
vforce delta reeds
milled head (if your gonna only run 20cc domes might aswell just mill the OEM head IMO )
dune porting by a reputable builder
lightend flywheel
advanced ignition timing +5 degrees
toomey T5 pipes
K&n clamp on filters
do these mods^ and youll be pulling wheelys in 4th UP hills in the dunes

Eric packed up and went over to England

your banshee is thirsty IMO......get 27.5 pilots get atleast 280 mains remove your airbox lid . get the needle clip position in second down from m the middle slot and you should be ripping
-
do you realize thats only a 159$ carb? sure theres a billet adapter and cable but geez man ,i wouldnt pay all that for no power gains but thats just me ..atleast now yo u know trinity is a big rip as most on here have seen through past dealings with them ,there shit isnt fast...they way over charge and as far as service... I forgot more about banshees than their 16 year old employees will ever know . try a search next time beforr yo u make any big purchases for your bike .my 2 cents
-
keep in mind raptor shocks are just as shitty as banshee shocks... i would look at yfz450 shocks instead
-
probably 60..maybe 65 for a patriot 350 port with t5 and bigger carbs IMO
-
stock is usually 23.5cc domes
-
mine didnt fit all that good either ,one diameter tube was bigger than another by .050 and it hit on the one side really bad till i jerry rigged it
-
youll find that most builders are in oregon, kansas, or michigan areas. These are where the dunes are and the big money enthusiasts play

i hate to see people repeat the bullshit hp claims of this new canam ,theres no fuckin way its making a true 80rwhp ,i bet if you threw a stocker up on the dyno it wouldnt even hit 60 rwhp ,cvts rob horsepower ,so does a shaft drive ..so does 600 pounds dry weight to lug around ...then add in its a 4 poke :confused:reminds me of when the vforce 700 came out and it was hailed as the fastest production atv to ever hit the market and most belived that claim til lyou see the neighbor boy on his old 400ex blow by one
-
im sure even a a 14 mill cub could beat that record if it was geared for it . good thing that craptor
owners tranny didnt go out on him at that speed lol
-
i like to go to home depot and get some 1.5 inch conduit tubing in a 180 degree bend. i mount it to the head and have it come out by the foot pegs like a drag pipe only it costs like 5 bucks unlike aftermarket pipes which cost 500 and up.
next year when someone actually does a search and reads this bullshit they may actually belive you
so why not stick to helpful advise ? id say t5 would be a good all around pipe

i run yamaha blaster shocks on my drag she ,you can buiy them for 20$ all day on ebay .drops here a good 2 inches and theyre stiffer than 300ex shocks ,also its a direct bolt up in 10 minutes no spacers ,shims ,adjusting or monkeying around .
-
not to divert anyone from here ,but youd probably get more blaster advise about your problem
on everything2stroke.com
-
even dealers need advise . the differecne between the 2 carb choices wouldnt amount to much difference in power but id get the 38mm airstrkers(a tad harder to jet though) because they have a more modern circuitry and the slightly smaller bore may give you back some torque that youd lose by not running alky anymore .just my 2 cents
-
well whatever he choose.... i wouldnt race there until its totally fixed because that is a recipe for disaster when your accelreting like a madman down a rutty shiity track on a drag banshee no matter how good the shocks are .sounds like he wants you guys to get paralyzed/killed and lose everything hes ever worked for in a expensive lawsuit .
-
depends on what you want to do with it but for a big cheetah id get dual 38 a.s carbs or dual 39pwks
-
for that kind of riding i would look into a passion 12 port 4 mill setup with k&ns and dual 35pwks with an oversized radiator, engine ice and a billet impeller and keep your static compression tame maybe 160 pounds or so ..my 2 cents

this has to be the stupidest thread ive ever read on here . Dude.. its up to the customer to clean the honing grit out of your cylinder and wipe it/blow it out really good ,i know I clean them out when im done porting or honing but theres always a little debris/ honing grit that really needs to be addresses by the customer before installation. I dont think its fair to say dimaond did you wrong and how do yo uknow what good porting is ? if your that knowledgable o n the subject why didnt you port it your damn self then ? why dont yo u run the bike instead of your mouth and see . i cant belive people have nothing better to do in life than disguise themselves as other memebrs and play keyboard racers on different sites ,how fuckin old are you ? thats so lame and pathetic
-
he calls it a 98 350 then says its a 420.... wtf? 100hp doessnt come easy and that bike sure as shit isnt even close to that power estimate .its a 2500 banshee to me
-
Ive always been told anything over the 10 go with the big cheetah.
yeah me too ,its the 10mill thats the limit
-
geez that banshee is totally fubar, your lucky to be alive ,atleats yo u were smart enough to wear a helmet even though yo u say it wouldnt have helped
-
setup is more important than horsepower ..how do yo u think alot of thsoe lil ported OEM 350's can stil l rule the tracks with todays superior cylinders on the market ?
-
I can tell you this much going from rocket pipes to shearer inframes for me was a night and day power difference/gain that i could feel . they hit really hard and pull forever ..even up at peak rpm .
override tranny vs dunable override
in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Posted
if i was gonna get a duneable id call Cameron at redline ... otherwise id look at what i have ...
i can shift at full throttle under load like butter with the tranny mods in my sig and its totally reliable with no bent shift fork worries that a override sometimes causes
