Its the ground wire it always is, Trailer lights can be a real pain .Start by cleaning the plug for the trailer. Then go on to to the ground wire that is usualy attached to the tonge of the trailer somewhere if that don't work remove the tail lights and clean where they bolt on.

Im new here just picked up a 87 Banshee basket case so im gonna be looking for some good info and alot of parts and this seams like the place to be . Here's a couple of pics. Talk to ya soon.
