  1. Looking to setup my Banshee with new fenders. I really loved the look of the 2006 50th Anniversary Yellow and Black setup. Not really sure which model this setup is for on the parts lists. I would think it would be either the Banshee SP (YFZ350SEV) or Banshee SV (YFZ350SPV). None of the parts list the color of the fenders, but I want to make sure to get the Yellow setup. Any help/advice on part numbers or model info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Does anyone know have or know of where I can get new, take off stock Banshee motor? Have a chance to pickup a Banshee with a blown motor on the cheap. Thanks!
  3. I'm selling my Laeger ProTrax Duncan Racing Banshee which I finished in Oct. 2005. Bike has been sitting on the stand since then and it still has the "tits" on the tires. Asking $7,000 and I'm not looking for any trades. Bike is located roughly 50 miles west of Richmond, VA. Pics can be seen by looking at the Oct. 2005 Quad of Month listing. The bike was sold, but the deal fell through, so it is crated up and ready to go. Email me if you have any questions. 4. Thanks for all of the compliments. I really hate to sell the bike, but I built it and never used it. It's too expensive to have as a "garage ornament". It still needs to be broken in. I'm sure someone could give it a nice home!

  6. When they were originally made, Laeger offered them using either 250R components or Banshee components, so it depends. Both use the 250R geometry. As far as the radiator goes, you will probably have a pretty tough time trying to fit an oversized radiator on the bike. One of the toughest things you are going to run into are air snorkles for the air box to route around the CR500 link shock. Mine are carbon fiber that I purchased from Kellner Motorsports in PA. Another issue is that the banshee fenders have to be trimmed to fit over the front shock mounts and the radiator (as it sits higher). It's a bit of work, but there's nothing like it once you get it finished.
  7. Temp has not changed dramatically from when it was last run. Maybe 25 degrees cooler. I'm going to drain all the fuel and flush the carbs and give it another shot. Hopefully, that will do the trick. I have so much invested in it, I almost don't want to ride it!
  8. Here's the deal. I completed my Laeger Banshee last October (QOTM in Oct) and took the motor through the break in process without any issue. The bike ran fine, never had any issue, only went through about 2 tanks of gas. I put it up for the winter and decided to take it out for a spin today because the weather was good. It started right up on the 2nd or 3rd kick, but I noticed it was running odd at idle as I revved the motor. The left cylinder is running fine but the right seems to be really weak. I got it warm and tried to ride it 3 times and it just will not run at all (hoping to clear it out). I changed the plugs, made sure both carbs were getting gas. Granted the gas is about 5 months old, but I wouldn't think it would make that big of difference. I'm pissed because I invested $3K in the motor (full Duncan setup) and I haven't even run the damn thing. I'm going to get it compression tested, but what else should I look for? Has anyone else had this problem? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Email me with questions, the bike is located near Richmond, VA. I'm the original owner, and I have the paperwork to prove it. This bike has never been raced or wrecked, it's a trophy/play quad. I won the October 2005 Blingstar Quad-of-the-Month contest, so I do not mess around when I build quads. The pics pretty much say it all. Thanks!
  11. I wasn't talking about lack of sales. I was referring to the poor reviews on the Banshee from the so called "experts" at the mags. They would rate a 400EX as a better machine??? Come on, you were fine with getting the same Banshee every year with the only changes being graphics and fender color choices. That was bogus, Yamaha should have stepped up and updated it in 12 years. I do agree with you on the Tree huggers. They, along with the folks at PETA should be shot.
  12. I don't think I get in any mags. I just want to see a banshee as the winner, instead of another 4 stroke. I'm pretty sure a banshee has never won.
  13. I'm just trying to get the "non believers" to see the light. If you don't advertise, you'll never get anywhere. If more people sang the praises of the Banshee, then maybe it would be in the lineup for next year. Or at least, Yamaha would have made some changes other than "bold new graphics".
  14. Banshee fans I need your help. Once again a Banshee is getting the shaft from all the 4 Stroke Lovers and not the respect it deserves. Please vote for my Banshee over on www.exriders.com. Here's the link: http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?threadid=183251 Thanks!
  15. I'm in the process of building a laeger banshee. I want to put all read stock fenders, but I'm not sure of the best front/rear and side cover combination to use. It looks like the 99 front & rears are called "romantique red" which appears to be the same as the side covers on the 96 model. Does anyone else have an all red banshee and if so what year fender combinations did you use? Any suggestions? Thanks!
