I was at Waynoka on SATURDAY sitting on the bed of a pick up watching the drags. The guys shee was really nice. any who, the guys child(10-14yrs) was racing the Banshee and almost hit us twice, bc the strip was getting wider. We saw this kid put his flag in the sand, so we did the same, the child on the banshee got water thrown on him by the kid that was ran over bc the child was riding very close to everyone watching the race, and running over the flags. There was about 30 people racing at once and if the strip is that wide, what is wrong with waiting a min for the next race?
Getting back to the story the kid stood by his flag to protect it I guess. The guy got on the banshee to race and decided to be a hero in a game of chicken, both parties lost.
It was stupid for the kid to stand there but it is hard to side with the guy bc he whipped a shitty around the pick up i was sitting on when people were trying to flag him down, he said "What did i do?", poped a wheelie flipped off the angry mob and took of for the trails, when he could have went to the south gate to get a ranger.
This shit was horrible, I never want to see anything like this again, I only rode my quad to load it on the trailer since i saw this, it is still on the trailer. This was stupid bc the local govt can decide (sp) that they do not need a sand park anymore bc people are getting hurt dying and getting DWIs out there. Dont get me wrong i think riding is great and beer is a way for God to say he wants us to have fun, but everyone should be responsible or kill themselves.
This guy had a really nice Banshee, it is bright green i think it had chrome swing arms and A arms. He was out running people with wheelie bars and extended frames & what not.
