Sorry to bring up an older thread guys, but I am having this same problem, and I have used all the tricks I can think of to get this flywheel off. I have pb blaster'd it for the past 3 weeks every day, and taken 2 different impact wrench's to it with no luck. Does anyone have any other idea's? I don't want to break the flywheel, because it doesn't look cheap to replace it. Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance guys... p.s. I got the bolt off, I am just having trouble getting the flywheel itself off... -Ian

Have you gotten any further with your step-by-step rebuild? I would like to have it to help me when I get the cases split on my '87.
