  1. Enjoy your new banshee. Only wish I could be the one to ring her out. I don't think people realize how nice some of these low hour bikes are, as they become hardened by everyone and their brother claiming their bikes to be in better shape than they really are. This was not the case this time. Ride safe, 3Dflyer
  2. Hi, which email is from you? You didn't identify yourself in the email according to your screen name here. Will reply asap. Thanks, Tyler

  7. Due to requests from interested parties, I will now ship the banshee by freight. I can have the bike crated and shipped, and I will arrange all the details, but the buyer will be responsible for the costs. Tyler

  9. Thanks for the kind words Brian. Tyler
  10. Going to sell my '98 banshee. Has not been ridden for 4 years, and kept in storage until late this fall. At that point I put in a new tranny, new front holeshot rims/tires, new rear rims/tires, new rear axle bearings, O-ring chain, front and rear sprockets, decals, foot guards, new skat trak sand paddles/rims, new clutch, cable, water pump, grips, rebuilt kick starter, new atv cover, shock covers, and certainly some other items can't recall. Bike is stock bore with tons of power, great compression, starts easily, idles great, shifts fantastic. It has FMF fatty pipes and power core2 silencers, jetted, but otherwise left stock for reliablility. Nothing mechanically wrong with the machine. I am just getting too old to take the abuse and don't have a local place to ride. Like I said, the banshee was bought in 1998 and ridden through part of the 1999 season and then sat until my recent mechanical inspection/rebuild. I have since taken the banshee out for less than two hours of riding, read about today's ride below: I rebuilt this machine strictly to take weekend trips with my brother as a way to spend time together a few weekends per year. He was hurt today on his atv (rolled after long jump and ran the peg through his leg) and just returned back from the hospital. He has decided to sell his atv and I will no longer have my favorite riding partner to ride with. I don't see the point of weekend trail rides without him. Today was our official test run with my "new" machine. Just for the record, my banshee did kick his bikes fanny!! This is a great entry level machine will little time on it. Many new parts. Engine has much life left on stock bore and many more bores available down the line. I am an hour south of Chicago and will travel a little to help make a delivery. Asking $3000 obo. I am not looking to trade for another machine, sorry. Pics available for serious shoppers. Feel free to contact me for more details/questions. Banshee HQ has not been contacting me when I receive private messages correctly, so please send all contact attempts to: [email protected] I guess I better get those old cane poles out of the attic and find some stink bait as our new "brother time" hobby might have to be river fishing. Hee, he.... Thanks All, 3Dflyer
  11. Can anyone tell me a good estimate of what a banshee with fmf fatty pipes and stock gearing should achieve for a top end speed? The bike is otherwise stock, still on original bore? How about any calculations for different sprockets? Just looking for general numbers to be expected. Of course I know each bike will run a little different, and there are endless tweaks that could squeeze out a few more mph. I simply wonder how fast a fairly stock banshee should run without having to try to "clock" one with a car/truck or a radar gun.
  12. What needs to be done to install the YFZ 450 shocks on a stock banshee? Any other mods/parts needed? 3Dflyer
  13. I have a stock banshee with original piston/bore that is running fmf fatty gold series pipes and powercore2 silencers. Jetting is 230, and I have a set of 240's to try in the near future. I run pump gas with Amsoil 50:1 oil mixed at 32:1. I still use the stock airbox and filter. Can I gain a noticable boost in low end torque by changing the stock reeds to the fmf torque reeds? They seem to run about $70, and I wonder if that money would be well spent and offer an obvious gain in usable low end grunt. Money is tight right now, so I don't want to begin the upgrade feaver: airbox elimination, K&N's, v-force reeds, boost bottle, rejetting, race fuel, on and on. I am looking for reliable, easy riding, low cost ways to improve the pulling power. 3Dflyer
  14. Looking to trade my 98 banshee for a milder machine, like a honda 400ex. Email or private message me for details. Located near Chicago, will travel some. 98 banshee sat for three years with no use new tranny new barnett clutch fmf fatty gold series pipes powercore2 silencers new holeshot front tires almost new radial dunlops in the rear brand new skat trak 20x10x10 8 paddle tires/rims for rear new decals jetted stock bore runs great Clear title I simply need a milder machine, preferably a four stroke or 4x4 quad. I want to trail ride, mostly. 3Dflyer
  15. Send me pics asap, please. I have 10" rims available to mount them on. Any plugs? 3Dflyer Still looking for tires or tires/rims. I would love to find a set of stock tires/rims from a Raptor 660 (dunlop 335's).
  16. I just bought a basket case banshee: 1998, fmf fatty pipes, power core2 silencers, and found 230 jetts in the stock carbs. Needles are adjusted to the stock clip location (3rd grove). Using Klots technoplate about 25:1 ratio. Stock bore, great compression, just rebuilt the tranny, cleaned carbs look great and seem to meet specs (floats). Looking for a reliable ride, not balls to the wall performance. I will take usable rather than finicky and hyper any day. Any comments and suggestions would be welcomed. Also having a pita of a time getting this thing to start/idle. Have tried to sync the carbs and TORS units, but I guess I just don't get it. Sounds like the ignition cuts out at low throttle. Won't idle with finger off the throttle trigger. Just touch the lever and it idles. Boy I wish I could talk to someone on the phone about how to set this machine up, as I am all alone in this location. Everyone here is running 4 bangers, and I have no atv shops to visit for help. 3dflyer

  20. I have a brand new set of Hauler Skat Trak 8 paddles tires mounted on Douglas 10" rims. All brand new. Been in storage for a while, but never ridden. Molding nubby hairs still on tires. Will gladly sell tires alone and keep the rims. Hoping to raise funds to buy Dunlop tires/rims. Asking $220. email with questions and offers ([email protected]). Buyer to pay shipping/insurance. Local pickup in Chicagoland area a great bonus. 3Dflyer
