  1. The past week my friends Banshee takes a bit to start. Everytime while kick-starting it, it back fires .. making a loud pop sound. After it finally starts, more smoke comes out of one side of the pipes. When sitting in idle, it makes a whacky clunk sound. While riding it, it moves, but their seems to be some lag in power aswell with back fire pops. The bike is worked and was purchased a few weeks ago. The previous owner never change the rings. So Im wondering if new piston rings are needed .. or maybe a cracked reed valve? Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.
  2. E-Mail me the pic's at [email protected]
  3. Just curious wich FMF silencer sounds the loudest? Or wich one IS the loudest? Titanium 2, Powercore 2, Turbinecore2, The Q, Powercore or Turbinecore? Thanks for reading.
  4. Send me a PM. I'm very interested in the FMF's and Powercore 2 silencers.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. Do you have any photos of the polished aluminum engine case? I think I'll just stick with the black for now. Were can I purchase these? Also, how are the V Force Reed Valves? I heard good write ups about them, but wanted to hear about it from the board members. Do they add good low to mid torque/power? My friends has reed valves in his 01', but I'm not too sure the brand name of them.
  6. New to the boards ... just picked up a used 03' Banshee. I have a few questions I hope some can answer. First, I was looking into getting the FMF Fatty pipes, but I'm confused on what Silencer to get. I dont want it to be too quiet. I want it to have some nice sound when I'm on it! Any suggestions on (TurbineCore 2, PowerCore 2 or Titanium 2 silencer? Second, my kickstarter rattles like crazy when riding. Is this fixable? Will Yamaha do it? Last, the sides of my engine has alot of wear on it (next to the foot brake and shifter) Is it possible to get another side engine part? I just want my bike to look a little bit cleaner. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks for reading.
