I recently bought a banshee off the internet. I bought it not running. It has all the essentials. I cleaned out the carb. It has a new top end, and good compression. If I take out the plugs and put a few drops of gas in there it fires and dies. Any ideas on what to look for, or any more specific details?

ill give $5 plus shipping for the stock reeds. do you have the equalizer tube also?

fuel is on and runs through the lines. what is the best way to clean the carbs? thank you.

I bought a banshee of ebay recently. I knew when i bought it it needed work. The top end is new. It has very good compression. Both plugs have spark. I have put gas directly into the cylinders put the plugs back in and kicked and it fires, runs then dies. Should I suspect the carbs?

The price on ebay is going alot higher than what i thought it would too. Since Michigan is far drive from anywhere besides Indiana I figured there would not be very many potential buyers. Yea, that was pretty dumb of me about the battery. On my 450 i have took out the baffle in the muffler, removed the air lid, and got the jetting perfect. When i mentioned the idea of doing a cam mod he didnt like that.

i could pick it up for around 500-600. the plastic needs paint. from what i see everything is there. maybe the battery is just dead? that would be awesome.

My dad doesnt want me playing with the motor on my yfz450 so I think I might buy this to play with. What kind of work do you all think it would need? Top or Bottom? I most likely wont know until I get in there I guess, correct? Thank you. I hope I can join the banshee world.
