  1. i dont know how to test if they are in sync but that doesn't seem like its the problem.
  2. i looked at the needles through the air box and they looked the same
  3. I have to go now but if you have anymore advice i will read it tomarrow. Just so you know i mix it 32:1. It has good low end power and i have stock jets in right now.
  4. both plugs have the same spark and they are new plugs
  5. When i leave the petcock on it doesnt overflow, the mechanic said he had everything put back together right but he didnt check the reeds. He said just ride it out so I did. It got a little better but not perfect. If i hold the throttle down half way it hits the powerband hard but the very top end it still sputters and sometimes its only one cylinder running at the top end.
  6. I recently bought a 96 banshee. The carbs were cleaned by a shop but when i got it back one cylinder sputters through the powerband. The plug is very dark even after i changed it but i have toomey t-5 pipies and a modified air box. The other cylinder runs fine and the plug is not very dark. I have stock main jets but i bought 260's and 270's to put in but it seems like the cylinder is rich. I would think they would be lean if anything.
  7. I have a 96 banshee that i just bought. The carbs were just cleaned by maximum motersports (scherriville, IN) but when i rode it one cylinder ran fine but the other one was sputtering in the mid right before the powerband hit. I'm not familier with banshee jetting but my previus bike was a honda CR. I did a compression test and both cylinders were above 120 psi. I have toomey pipes and a modified air box (more holes drilled in it) but the right cylinder ( the one not firing right) has a black plug. I did put new plugs in it but it still seems to be running rich. Both sides have spark and the main jets are stock 200 sized. I bought some 260 and 270 but havent put them in due to the cylinder being rich. Why is only one cylinder running rich. Thanx
